Goodbye to Ibrance . Gutted but not surprised.
I’m going onto Cape to try it as I have never in the 12 years of breast cancer on and off had any chemo only
immunotherapy
. Gutted as Ibrance suited me well re side effects but if it’s not working it’s pointless. Would appreciate any encouragement and positive experiences on Cape.

Has anyone done sublingual immunotheray (SLIT) or the injection style (SCIT)? Did it make you feel terrible/set of your asthma symptoms?
My respirologist doesn't seem to have a lot of faith in
immunotherapy
, though it is recommended for skin test positive asthmatics by the asthma association in my country, so I'm kind of having doubts and wondering if it's worth giving myself symptoms during months where I would otherwise feel perfectly

Immunotherapy and the 2 year limit
When it spread a few years later and once again Chemo didnt work, the rules around
Immunotherapy
would not allow her to re-access it even though this was the only treatment that worked.

The oncologist wants to do a PET and CT scan the same day. Is it necessary to do both?
In the meantime they (Cross Cancer) has doubled his heart medication as they want to be able to do chemotherapy and
immunotherapy
. I asked if they could just do
immunotherapy
as the chemo would be too hard on his heart and organs.

immunotherapy Provenge and THC
I have seen some studies showing issues with THC and
immunotherapy
. Because THC reduces inflammation it can work at cross purposes with the
immunotherapy
. I will be starting provenge in the next couple of weeks, for ~5 weeks. I could stop using the THC if necessary.

Immunotherapy-- Car-T, Dendritic Cell Vaccines, and BiTE... Why hasn't this been more effective??
Salutations FPC Forum people, So, when I was messaging with Soumen79, the question of APCEDEN and efficacy, and my thoughts on it came into discussion, and I wanted to do a post on some of the immune system directed treatments, and why we are not taking a victory lap yet... Let's begin with CAR-T...

Combining Immunotherapy with Docetaxel?
I was talking to a doctor friend on this who mentioned there is promising work underway to combine an
immunotherapy
(maybe Keytruda?) with docetaxel. He heard the yet unpublished results are very good. Anyone heard of this or know about this? Thanks very much to all who post.

New cancer treatment fools the immune system to attack
By Brian Blum JULY 5, 2022
Immunotherapy
holds perhaps the greatest promise for fighting cancer in the 21st century. Rather than bombarding the body with toxic chemicals, as in chemotherapy,
immunotherapy
utilizes the immune system to neutralize malignant tumors.

An antibody for myelofibrosis – “that’s a true discovery”
“The myelofibrosis antibody is a big step forward because it proves that
immunotherapy
can actually stop the bad cells from dividing. This is significant because myelofibrosis is a rare disease that not many people have done much work on until now, so it continues to be a great unmet need.”
