Can you spare 10 minutes of your time?
An
ICD
is like having your own defibrillator inside your body so if your heart should go into a specific arrhythmia the
ICD
will shock it back into rhythm; whereas a pacemaker monitors and adjusts the rhythm and speed of your heart; if it is too fast or too slow it will adjust accordingly.

Fatigue after ICD
I was curious if others have experienced these issues post
ICD
. He’s now becoming depressed because he has always been active and fun-loving. He initially attributed it to his knee arthritis but now he has had TKR (in March) and did extremely well.

Movements after pacemaker / icd insertion...
Morning all, I'm about to have an
icd
fitted. At present I haven't been able to find good guidance on movements with my left arm that are deemed OK... Or appropriate exercises to ensure my shoulder doesn't freeze up. Can anyone help?

Hybrid Electric car & ICD
I am about to purchase a hybrid petrol/electric new car and wondered if anyone had investigated the effects of driving a hybrid car with an implanted defibralator. There have been studies as per ; https://www.escardio.org/The-ESC/Press-Office/Press-releases/are-high-power-electric-vehicle-chargers-safe-for-patients-with-cardiac-devices

Hi, it’s only been 1 week, how long before I can sleep , I can only lie on right side and constantly woke up by pain in the left shoulder area and around the wound. I’m not expecting miracle healing just some sort of time frame for the healing wound Thanks
