ICD site sore
Hey all.I've had my
ICD
for almost 3 years now. Just wondering if anyone gets random soreness around the site? I don't get it all the time but sometimes it feels bruised or like I'm being pinched. It's very uncomfortable when it happens, also it can be anytime of the day.

How long for the intense pain of an ICD install to ease?
Had my
ICD
installation this morning. Oh my days, it feels like I have a spear through my shoulder ( or how I imagine that would feel anyway!) Consultant said worst pain lasts a week, please tell me he exaggerated, and it won't be too bad in a few days 🤔

Hi, I am having an
ICD
fitted for heart failure. Could anyone please advise on how it works and how they feel about having the device. Does it affect your driving. Thank you.

Post ICD Implant-week 2
Hi all, I was hoping to get some feedback/advice from ideally ladies who have undergone
ICD
implant surgery. Today marks two weeks from getting an
ICD
. It is placed under the muscle and towards my armpit, over my left breast.

Sleeping with an ICD device
My partner has been offered an
ICD
device but is uncertain whether to go ahead, he is worried about a few things related to the device, but impact on sleeping with the device is one of them. If you have an implanted device how have you found sleeping since you have had it?

S-ICD
Hi,Had my subcutaneous
ICD
fitted just over a month ago. So thought I'd post to let anyone else having one know how it is living with one. Firstly I am doing fine, it was weird at first having a box inside me, but you soon just get on with it.

Statins
I ended up with severe EF and now have an
ICD
. Recent blood tests have shown I have a lowered blood platelet. I am booked in with my GP on 15//2 but am concerned what is causing this. I have read it could be Statins. Is there anyone out there with experience of this ?

15% Ejection fraction and feel well.
I have been diagnosed with HOCM for 35 years and have an
ICD
. I really can’t believe I feel well and the ef is so low. Does anyone else have such a low measurement and still feel well?

Scar from Cox-maze procedure
I already have a scar from my
ICD
implant and being young (ish) at 44, I'd like to have an idea of what it will look like. Not that it would affect my decision, I'm just curious. Thanks, B
