FLAIR Trial - ErnieUK More Dehydration Round 5 FCR
The digestive system troubles do keep making me think of
Ibrutinib
, that I might be on one day, so I’d be interested if Psyllium would be any good to go with that, also if you would have to take them pre-emptively.

The future for CLL?
There has even been talk that we may have achieved the breakthrough that Imatinib (perhaps better know as Gleevec) was for a sister leukaemia to CLL - CML or Chronic Myelogenous Leukaemia, with some of the new maintenance drugs such as
Ibrutinib
(Imbruvica).

Ibrutinib and bruising
I have been on
Ibrutinib
for 6 months with no other major issues. Any others on this board experience this, and what if any techniques helped you minimize the occurrence.

Do FCR trials ever end early when the results are very favorable?
Anyway, after 5.5 years and watching the count rise to 208k this past January, swollen lymph nodes in neck, armpit, and groin and slightly enlarged spleen I was encouraged to go on a US NCI clinical trial of FCR vs
Ibrutinib
/Rituxan trial. 2/3 get the
Ibrutinib
/R and the other 3rd get FCR.

Ibrutinib - has anyone else's improvement stalled?
Has anyone else on
Ibrutinib
experienced a temporary or more permanent stalling of this nature?

My WBC is rapidly going up, my nodes are enlarged and my MD is considering starting
Ibrutinib
in the near future. Does anyone have any information about this?

Ibrutinib Treatment Shows Efficacy and Tolerability in Heavily Treated CLL Patients Following Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant
Here they are showing how effective
Ibrutinib
(Imbruvica) is on a tough to treat bunch of CLL patients. [i]"These patients had a median of five prior therapies and 63% were high-risk del 17p CLL patients. The estimated median progression-free survival (PFS) at 24 months was 76.6%.

old news but uplifting
That treatment has resulted in the development of a drug called
Ibrutinib
. Cancer cells It is already in advanced clinical trials in the UK and is expected to be licensed for use in Wales by the end of the year.

Ibrutinib seems to also affect T-cells
First time I have heard of this. Potentially very important for those with solid tumors. http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2015/02/09/1500712112.abstract

my husband has been having ivig for nearly 4 years every 28 days being p17 deletion.......... he started
ibrutinib
in September, but for various reasons has had to stop/start twice, however, he is finding that he is feeling most unwell for several days following ivig, and it has now been decided to stop

A therapy for elderly patients with secondary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is getting a fast-track designation through the federal approval process and a drug that has seen success with some leukemia and lymphoma patients (
ibrutinib

Initiation and Discontinuation of Ibrutinib in Chromic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)
Friends, I found this discussion from OncLive that I just shared on blog: http://bkoffman.blogspot.com between Drs. Bryd, Furman and Kipps full of nuggets and controversy. Not often we get to hear these in such a lively three exchange. Please let me know what you think. Stay strong Brian
