Is ET hereditary ?
I currently take
hydroxycarbamide
, but it seems that he isn't on any medication for it. I understand this is a very rare condition, so alarm bells are ringing as to whether it is hereditary. Thank you .

MF from ET
I have early stage MF from ET, and I‘ve had a headache for 12 days, with pressure over the left eye, and lightning flashes in the left eye. I just wondered if anyone else has had this? My doctor wants me to start taking aspirin twice a day now, & if that doesn’t work he will start me on hydroxyurea.

Relief for Liver?
Have ET / JAK which treatment has been interrupted due to very high (4x) liver enzyme values. I have been on 2 mg anagrelide per day for several months with cautious results lowering platelets to 800,000. That caution allowed liver and kidneys to calm down from high values after 2 months on hydroxyurea

Increased wbc
I have ET and had lab tests yesterday. My platelets are at 584000 and my wbcs are up to 9500. I take hydroxyurea once a day, have been for 2 years. This is the highest my wbcs have been, slowly creeping up. Is this a progression to something?

Does an enlarged spleen cause nausea
Hi, all. I’m post Et Mf and have been taking hydroxyurea for years. Only in the past several months, I have been experiencing frequent nausea. The last time they checked my spleen in March, it was only mildly enlarged at 13.2. But recently, I seem to have mild pain on my left side when I take a deep

increased effects of hydroxycarbamide and Anagrelide due to CKD
My wife has MF and now CKD of the one kidney she has left, the drugs for her MF are affecting the FBC more so than previously.i asked her hematologist if it was the reduced function of her kidney causing dramatic reduction in platelets and Hgb , while her white cells are four times normal count.

Do you blame your fatigue and brain fog more on hydroxyurea or ET (high platelet count)... which one and why?
Do you blame your fatigue and brain fog more on hydroxyurea or ET (high-platelet count)... which one and why? Hi I'm just starting on this site. I'm trying to figure out how to be less fatigued and more clear-headed so I can do my desk job well. I would like your advice on what would make me less tired
