flu/ cold immuno suppressants, can you fight it?
I was just wondering do I need an anti biotic because I am on Plaquinil Methotrexate &
Humira
, I mean is it necessary or could I fight it. I have used usual vit c paracetamol etc, still not well.

I get terrible Itching on my back, to the point I scratch the skin raw. Is this related to anti tnf treatments or pain killers?
I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and was on
Humira
and Methotrexate injections but due to raised liver function tests they stopped the Methotrexate and changed the
Humira
to Enbrel. Enbrel was okay at first (started in January) but now I have niggley problems creeping in.

Preparing for Surgery.
Well anyway long time passed and I have the beast under control (or rather the meds have) a combination of plaquinil, mtx and
Humira
. I still have my tired times, but hey don't we all!

Then of course i'll be off the
Humira
AGAIN for a few weeks, then if the RA decides to flare where will it attack me next time???? it only took 6 weeks of not having
humira
in April - May for the RA to attack my spine.

Just when I thought I was on the edge of the woods!
I have mentioned before I am doing well on
Humira
etc, and as you may or may not know heading to Stolkholm on Saturday with few pals. Well whats the worst thing could happen?, you've guessed it mini flare, probably brought on by the exitement of planning my party on 20th & said Stolholm trip.

Methotrexate + Humira = yuk...where's my miracle ???
So my dilemma is whether to inject my second
Humira
or leave it in case I am coming down with something..or is this normal?? If it is I think I will be more inclined to ditch the drugs. Anyway..a bout of weepiness seems imminent and so I must find the tissues.....

Whats wrong with me? not a thing now apparently!
She renewed my script for
Humira
, twice daily plaquinil (reduced to once daily on my request), Cymbalta, folic acid & 20 mtx per week. Had a quick look at ankle to be operated on & said, well you will be walking on that ankle bone if you don't get it done (duh!)

I'm being pulled about like a puppet
These cramps started a couple of weeks a go I suppose when the
humira
was stopped, then a week later as my liver function was not so hot I came off the MTX. That is now a month, and its telling on me.

RA travelling round my body with no Sat Nav to guide it,
Then the RA has very rudely made itself at home in my spine, pushing a couple of discs out of its way and then causing what is called stenosis, this has happened in the last few weeks while I was off the
Humira
and MTX having the carpal tunnel op, which hasn’t been a success, and they are looking at

Is there anything else that can help RA other than drugs?
I'm on
Humira
, MTX, Sulfasalazine and Meloxicam. I've just had my check up and my specialist is reducing my mtx as he was concerned that I'm on a very high dose. I appreciate that the drugs are doing the job and that I am so much better than was.

Onward and upward?
I'm just scared that if
Humira
doesn't work (and there's a 30% chance it won't apparently) then my choices are becoming ever more limited by the day.

Welcome to the monkey house ...
I left, a little smile on my face at the thought that things might not be *that* bad, with the recommendation to try biologics and was given some leaflets to mull over before reaching a final decision on which one to take (probably
Humira
if anyone's interested).

A letter from home after a long weekend in hospital part1
I was lucky, as I’d taken my
Humira
injection on Thursday morning as normal compromised my immune system but keeps the RA at bay.
