Confused
I have Hashimoto’s and had a
hemithyroidectomy
last year. I’m in medicated as my TSH levels have always been just in or just over range. T3 and T4 are always low end of normal. However my latest medichecks results show tsh of 5.84 (0.2-4.2); T3 of 5.01 (3.1-6.8) and T4 of 16.3 (12-22).

Swelling post hemithyroidectomy
I had my
hemithyroidectomy
surgery on 29th December and still have a hard swelling underneath the wound. I can feel it when I swallow. Is this normal? If yes, when should I expect this to reduce or go? Thanks, Becky

Nausea after thyroid surgery STILL
Hi, I recently had a
hemithyroidectomy
and I’m really struggling with nausea. I believe this is due to the lump I can feel in my throat from having the surgery. I can visibly see a rectangle lump above my scar. It’s been nearly 5 weeks since surgery and I’m at a loss for answers from anyone.

Hypothyroid/Hashi - background headaches all day
On levothyroxine, thyroid levels ok, yet I have days with a constant headache (never suffered from headaches before
hemithyroidectomy
), or I feel full, my ankles are really stiff (not previously) - am I just stuck with this?

is a TSH test enough? I'm new to this
I had a
hemithyroidectomy
in May and I've just had test result from local hospital. My TSH was 2.06miu/L ( 0.35 - 4.78) .should I seek a more comprehensive test? I am 68 and I have Parkinson's disease. The test was done at lunchtime.

Test Results after Hemithyroidectomy
Just had my right thyroid lobe removed about six weeks ago due to a suspicious nodule that ended up being benign. Lost one of my parathyroid glands in the process also. TSH before surgery was .477 (.358-3.74 normal) and Free T4 was 1.55 (.76-1.46 normal). At five weeks post op, TSH is .26 and Free

Sufficient bloods?
Recently had
hemithyroidectomy
, requested follow up bloods from GP. Results have come back ‘normal’ despite having lots of symptoms typical of under active thyroid. Any advice would be very welcomed! Starting to become very anxious and low about how I am feeling!

Why am I still putting on weight?
Had a
hemithyroidectomy
in November 2019. Haven’t been diagnosed as hypo but am taking Metavive 3 as my thyroid function was getting progressively worse. My last blood tests were very good. I take natural HRT (including testosterone) and last hormone blood tests were good too.

Advice please
Hi, I am 39 yr old female who had a
hemithyroidectomy
at the end of September 2020 for what turned out to be a benign nodule. I am doing ok but in the last month I have noticed that I am losing a lot more hair than normal. It isn’t that thick in the first place.

Thyroid and vertigo
My thyroid function has been gradually getting worse since a
hemithyroidectomy
last November. I’m currently self treating with Metavive III which I started with 1 tablet and have increased to 2 tablets since my last blood test, so I’m hoping things will improve.
