Recently had hemithyroidectomy, requested follow up bloods from GP. Results have come back ‘normal’ despite having lots of symptoms typical of under active thyroid. Any advice would be very welcomed! Starting to become very anxious and low about how I am feeling!

Sufficient bloods?
Free T4 is a very feeble 31% through range - you want this to be MUCH higher to feel well.
Can you see if the GP will do all the blood tests you need - and if not, treat yourself to private testing? - TSH, free T4, free T3, ferritin, folate, vit D and B12 - plus thyroid antibodies unless you know these to be high
Are you taking levo? If so, try and get an extra 25 mcg a day x
Thank you for your reply! Will definitely look at getting the private blood tests done as I do not know what my antibody levels are! Already on vitamin b12 injections for low levels and currently not on any medication as I haven’t had a diagnosis of hypothyroidism!
There are discounts available on the main Thyroid UK site - and also some discounts on a Thursday. Always have an early morning fasting blood test, and stop any supplements containing biotin a week before the blood test. If you haven't done a home blood test, have a look at SeasideSusie 's replies to other people [click on her name and look at replies] - she gives great tips on how to do it properly!
You don't generally get treated with levo until TSH goes over range - often waaay over range - unless free T4 also drops below range and/or thyroid antibodies are too high - but it may be different for people who've had a hemithyroidectomy (sorry don't know the rules then) x
