Can you drive with intermittent broad complex tachycardia that doesn’t give you many symptoms?
After phone call from cardiologist last evening informing me of episodes of broad complex tachycardia on my 5 day ECG I’m left with many questions. I’m a 60yr female. HA and AFib 9 months ago. Not a risk factor in sight. 🤷🏼♀️ Being referred to electrophysiologist. Any advice please. Thank you.

Broad complex tachycardia. I’m being referred to an EP after a 5 day ECG showed episodes of this. I’m imagining the worst.
I’m 9 months post heart attack, (at 59yrs), due to blood clot, 6 months post successful cardio version for AFib. None smoker, was physically fit pre HA ( still exercising), healthy weight , no risk factors. Ejection fraction has improved from 40% to 46% Cardiologist phoned me earlier. I’d had arrhythmia

Safe INR level for Ablation?
I am one week from my first cyro ablation and my blood INR is 1.2. Most recommend a value between 2.0 and 3.0. What are folks' knowledge and experience in this area? Might I be canceled as, according to these numbers from today's tests, the Pradaxa hasn't thinned my blood much. Are these the cases where

To my HU family...
I cannot express the depth of my gratitude to 'all of you', your good thoughts, prayers and vibes. My son's heart surgery went well,Friday, and he is in ICU. We talk of the effect of STRESS! I was thinking so much about him, I was on auto-pilot. BUT, last night, my body said OK, rest! I slept for

Chloresterol drug, clinical trial.
I have been contacted by my GP asking if I would like to participate in a trial of a drug to lower chloresterol. My history is that I had high chloresterol 25 years ago which resulted in blocked arteries and necessitated a heart bypass surgery. I also had a mild heart attack 6 years ago but no reason

Afib or palpitations?
Once in a while I get very irregular heartbeats after I go to bed at night. My Dr. said they are palpitations and not afib and did not occur during the 24 hour holter monitor, but I noticed a pattern as to when they occur: always after a very salty and probably MSG restaurant meal and a few drinks with

I had an angiogram Monday and the doctor yold me my heart muscle is not working properly. To my understanding this is heart failure. Am I correct? I have also been told to 'get fitter' and he will see me in 3 months. The problem is I had two knee replacements (one which went badly wrong the second

poisoned by statins
I have now come to the conclusion that instead of getting the correct treatment for my heart problem I have been given a higher dosage of statins that is causing me more harm. I believe that my diagnosis should be treated with a stent or a bypass. I have three siblings , two have had heart attacks and

Shared Decision Making - Be a part of treatment decisions
Shared decision making ensures that individuals are supported to make decisions that are right for them. It is a collaborative process through which a clinician helps patients decide on their treatment. The conversation brings together: - The clinician's expertise, such as treatment options, evidence

What is Heart Valve Disease
Heart valve disease is a common, serious, but treatable condition that affects 1.5 million over 65s in the UK. Heart valve disease is caused by either wear or disease of the heart valve(s), affecting the flow of blood through the heart. When diseased or defective, heart valves may not open or close properly

Beast is Back
Three weeks after my fourth ablation, and advised to drop flecainide, the beast returned. (Kept on metoprolol & Xarelto). Started after an afternoon nap for no reason at all. Confirmed by nurse with ecg yesterday and put back on flecainide until appointment on Monday with ep and another ecg. I’m hoping

Post AVR dental work
I read in my follow up notes to valve replacement that I must be on a course of antibiotics if i have dental work. Can anyone expand on this for me please? Is this for a check up or hygienist, or only for significant procedures? Do you go to your GP for the prescription or the dentist? Thanks
