How do I read a thyroid blood result?
TSH = 215 Free T4 = 16 What does this tell me? GP says it is satisfactory. What are the ranges for healthy thyroid results please?

Graves disease symptoms?
Hi there, I'm newly diagnosed (by UK GP) with Graves disease, and am waiting to see an endocrinologist who is supposed to prescribe me carbimazole. I have a question about my symptoms, which are mild but seem more consistent with hypO than hypERthyroidism: My blood test results were: -Free T3: 13.8

antidepressants and the thyroid
Is there any evidence that antidepressants affect the role of the thyroid (production/conversion of thyroxine etc)? Any information gratefully appreciated.

Thyroid cancer molecular testing
Hi all, Just want to ask if anyone heard or used thyroid cancer molecular testing. I have an intermediate thyroid nodule which means 25% of chance of cancer after a core biopsy in the hospital. But this is really a very annoying figure, checked online seems the molecular testing could be more accurate

A few Things ā¦.
1. I had an ACTH test yesterday as my recent cortisol level was low. I was told my TSH would be tested but not T4 and T3. However when I got there, it was a full thyroid profile being done. I had breakfast in the morning but no caffeine. I had a small bowl of plain porridge and nothing else, except water

Hi Everyone Long time, no post so I apologise. Since I last spoke to anyone I have been diagnosed with Osteoperosis, so fighting a number of demons. My Rheumatologist has been concerned about my ever decreasing levels of calcium despite eating calcium rich food and doubling my prescribed Calcium supplements

Low B12 (plus recently medicated for underactive thyroid)
Hello all Iāve had some private bloods done to aid thyroid investigation with my GP (a whole other thread!). I really had to push the GP to listen to me so have lost some confidence with them. The GP didnāt pick up on this low B12 result. Anyway my B12 results are 29 pmol/L and ref range is 37.5

Hello! I was diagnosed with low B12 following a blood test in December last year, on injections but only had 3 of the 6 loading doses then was moved on to one every three months due to severe side effects that worried my GP.
