Fainting after GTN
Hi everyone Have posted before but now 4 weeks post my MI and feeling very dispirited. Last week I thought I was making a tiny bit of progress - walking albeit short distances at a snails pace and even managed a short trip into town. Ever since my MI (STEMI) and stent I've had funny pains/twinges/tightness

Is this now the norm?
Hi everyone, I had a heart attack (Inferolateral STEMI, Primary PCI -OM) and stents fitted three months ago. I just don't feel that I am getting any better really. Have maybe one or two good days a week (if I'm lucky), the rest of the time I feel totally exhausted. And doing any sort of task seems

M.I. 12 years ago now sudden Angina & I'm scared.
Hi Everyone. I had a heart attack in 2012 aged 48. The left circumflex artery was completely blocked. I had a stent fitted and they saw no evidence of any problems with the other arteries. A lifelong smoker, I stopped at that point. I did all of the cardiac rehab classes and the phase 4 gym sessions

Agiogram and no intervention Down and cofussed.
Just had an Angio to be told there is no reason for my Angina pain. I had a stent 10 years ago, double CABG 6 years ago. I am on 60mg isorbide once a day 500mg Ranolazine twice a day, Statins,Clopidogrel, bisoprol and Losartin. The Angio showed two partial blocks on 45% and one 75 to 95% but normal flow

Minoca - no follow up
Hi. I'm hoping I'm not alone on this. So 3 weeks ago now I had what I presumed was a heart attack, tight painful chest pains radiating to my left arm, heavy sweating and dizziness. Called ambulance and taken to hospital. Had bloods taken and told that I'd had a heart attack as my Troponin levels were

When do you use GTN spray
I'm confused as when I had chest pain and was admitted to hospital I thought it was indigestion ( only went in because of breathlessness). Nurse said ok to walk if I can walk and talk which I can do but sometimes get pain between shoulder blades, ache in arm or tonight feel like I've pulled heart muscle

Waiting - impatiently
After 15 months of tests and waiting and waiting and tests I was told back in February that I needed CABG. In March is saw the surgeon, who ordered more tests, which were done by first week of May. It went quiet until July - I had preop of 9th and another round of tests (blood, ecg, xray). Its all gone

Need GTN despite meds
I'm almost 85 & had a 2nd heart attack on 3/2/24. Needed defibrillator in ambulance, local hospital not available, so taken to another one. Existing stents ballooned. Recovering well but 3 weeks later, hospitalised for 10 days with low sodium. Only just stabilising with medication and restricted fluids

Chest pain during AF after stent
I am 75 year old female. I have had PAF for 10 years and it is now segueing into something more continuous - 3-4 times a week for 12 hours or so. Here's my problem. 2 weeks ago I had a N-STEMI, and an angiogram revealed a severe blockage in my right coronary artery. .... up to 94% at one point. A stent

7 month cardiologist review done
Well I had my 7 month face to face chat with the cardiologist yesterday. I had tonnes of questions which I did email to him a month before the meeting. 1)My Question- At the point of the angiogram what condition were all the other important heart vessels in? They didn't require stents. Was that because

Chest pain and using the GTN spray
Hello. I am now 5 weeks in after a heart attack which came completely out of the blue and then angioplasty with aortic stent. I have had chest pain ever since which is generally mild but can get stronger (it can come on at anytime whether I am exercising or not and can last for an hour or more). It feels

Morphine constipation help
Only taking 7mg of morphine. In my third month. It is helping my PLMD but the constipation is horrible, and also sedation/fatigue has set in, and while I can drink caffeine it doesn't seem to have any effect. (I wish I had stayed at 4mg--it was helping less but I had more energy and controllable constipation

Intro
I'm a retired policeman and now retired linguistics professor. I thought I was super fit, walking 14,000 steps a day on average when, just last week, I found even a short walk or physical exertion caused me severe dizziness, and breathlessness. It was extremely sudden. I was referred to my local hospital

Heart meds problem airport security
I have just read an alarming report of a woman being stopped and questioned by airport security because apparently her heart meds contain traces of an ingredient which is also used in making explosives- nitroglycerin. Anyone else in this position should be aware in case they encounter the same situation

Hi Everyone and thanks for all your replys to my previous post. My Wife ended up phoning for an Ambulance at 01:30 this morning as I couldn't breathe or feel my legs. I used my GTN SPRAY but didn't help. Anyway the Ambulance man was brilliant he did all the checks and was talking to my wife about me.
