Stage 4 Prostate Cancer, Quadruple bypass, & now a brain tumor!
Still, having been faced with something as scary as
glioblastoma
and even now brain cancer.. it makes me thankful that my dad's prostate cancer has been so "well behaved." (For lack of a better term.)

New here and wanting to share glioblastoma experience
Hi, I am new here but have lots to share about
glioblastoma
as I was the caregiver for my mom who passed on Oct. 20th. This cancer sucks and I hate the way it affected my mom.

Sad upsetting post (new member)
She said it was a grade 4
glioblastoma
and there will be no treatment and his prognosis is weeks. To say we were shocked is an understement! Dad passed away a week ago. We are all so shocked. We begged the doctors for private treatment we had the money but we were just told to wait.

Trying to Support My Brother
In the last 6 weeks I have found out that my older brother Rob had a brain tumor removed and was diagnosed w a
glioblastoma
. He is getting radiation and oral chemo. Docs have given him 1-18months. We live in different states though I plan on visiting in August.

Article: PSMA Theranostics Is Poised to Change Prostate Cancer Landscape
It is in fact expressed in hepatocellular cancer and
glioblastoma
and some renal and colon cancers. PSMA is expressed up to 1000 times in prostate cancer, and its degree of expression seems to correlate with tumor dedifferentiation and the presence of metastases.

Recently a novel agent IAC-010759 was described to be a highly potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of mitochondrial complex I that leads to AMPK activation that can inhibit malignant cell growth in models of

As far as I can tell, he seems to focus almost exclusively on
glioblastoma
, which has a different metabolic phenotype than early-stage prostate cancer. I've never heard him talk about or even acknowledge this difference. It would be interesting to hear what he has to say.

Interesting research from Israel
The study focused on two types of cancers —
glioblastoma
, an aggressive type of cancer that can occur in the brain or spinal cord, and metastatic ovarian cancer.

It is sometimes used to treat intractable epilepsy in children and there is a current clinical trial investigating whether it may be helpful for
glioblastoma
, a type of brain tumour. The ketogenic diet is very different from the healthy diet recommended by the NHS.

Glioblastoma
is the most aggressive cancer known to mankind. The cells divide and double every 48 hours. My brother should have died in January.
