3 months on warfarin for dvt?
Hi, was diagnosed with dvt after visiting a&e 4 weeks ago. Took 2 1/2 weeks for blood to rise from1.3 to 2.6 in those last 3 days of taking fragmin and warfarin. That weekend got dvt in opposite leg but doctor says it's not a dvt after measuring it. I didn't have swelling or redness on my first dvt.

Anyone not on any treatment?
I was diagnosed with Hughes after my miscarriages and have just had a successful pregnancies on 5000 units of fragmin and 150mg aspirin. Post partum I was on 5000 units fragmin for 6 weeks. I have been to the haematologist and they have said that as I have no other symptoms and no history of blood clots

Birth announcement :)
Hi All, I just wanted to let you all know that my baby girl was born happy and healthy a couple of weeks ago. Fragmin and asprin have done their trick and brought us to the end of this two year journey. She was doing fine but was induced at 40 weeks just to make sure. I want to say thank you to everyone

I have been struggling to stabilise my inr for months now. I feel so awful most of the time. I enquired
about trying fragmin injections but was told I couldn't use them as they can cause osteoporosis. I can't win. Its really getting me down can't take much more. Any advice would be welcome x

Conflicting GP advice
I had a few clots 20+years ago , was diagnosed as having APS on warfarin for 5+ years. Then consistently tested negative for all clotting disorders. I came off warfarin and was just on Aspirin no problems for years. Have felt a bit 'off colour' for a few months and at the beginning of July discovered

Warfarin vs Fragmin
Quick question. For those of you who have had experience with both Warfarin and Fragmin, which would you say helped you the most?

Mum was due her third taxol on the trial yesterday. She had a massive nosebleed and is missing it this week. Will it make a difference!
Hello ladies, I have not been on here for a few weeks. Mum is on the trial where she has a big blast of carboplatin and then a third of taxol every week. She was due her last third of taxol yesterday but before she went she had a big nosebleed and ended up having it quarterised and a bung up it which

Coming off blood thinners before birth.
I am now 35 weeks pregnant and have been on 150mg aspirin and fragmin throughout pregnancy. Baby is growing well and so the plan is to come off my aspirin at 36+2 but keep on the fragmin except the day I have my cervical stitch out at 36+4 then induce at 38+2. So in total the max I will be off my aspirin

Breast biopsy continued
Hello all, ablation done 2 weeks ago, not a sign of a palpitation or a flutter so fingers crossed, slight pain when deep breathing also seems to have gone, highly recommend it and also recommend Castle Hill hospital in Hull. Wide excisional biopsy done earlier this week and I have to say it was definitely

I have been on Clopidogrel for 8 months and Fragmin for 5 weeks. I get a lot of bruises mainly on my legs and arms. I have a dog that jumps up and a boystrous 6 yr old so do have bumps here and there but I have never had so many bruises. Does anyone else have this problem and is it ok? The bruises can

I started Warfarin in March and live in New York. I don't love the testing and diet restrictions. What are the generic alternatives?
I am becoming aware of Fragmin through this site. Is Fragmin a generic form of Heparin? Are there any alternatives in generic form that do not require testing and diet restrictions? I have APS and am being tested for Lupus. I had a stroke in March. I am ambulatory, initially lost my speech but have

Swollen and painful hands
I suffered an occlusion in a blood vessel (eye) last year and was prescribed fragmin, steroids and calcium. After treatment and tests etc I reduced the drugs to now taking nothing. As the steroids came out of my system I suffered hair loss until most recently. The hair loss has almost stopped. I am

Do you need to avoid vitamin K food on fragmin?
Hi All After 2 years on warfarin, I asked to for my drugs to be reviewed as I had spent 5 months feeling very unwell (INR unstable). I am now on fragmin and feel almost like my old self! I spent 2 years being extremely careful with high vitamin k food (as it would seriously affect my inr) Do I have to

advice please!
Hi all, I'd like some advice if possible. At the end of my first pregnancy I developed pre-eclampsia and then had eclamptic seizures 12 hours after my daughter was born, so when I became pregnant again I was tested for APS and the results were positive. I took Fragmin during the rest of the pregnancy

Warfarin vs Heparin/Fragmin 10,000 units
Hi Everyone, Really hoping someone can help. I was started on Fragmin for a trial to see if symptoms improved. They have, I would say around 30 percent but was hoping for more. In the 4 weeks that I have been taking it, I have had 2 pretty bad headaches and that was the one thing I thought would definitely

Has anyone tried the 3 week heparin/fragmin trial?
Hi everyone, I am starting fragmin tomorrow, I'm nervous about injecting myself but excited that this could give me my life back. I have been on plavix for the last month and have had an improvement in my headaches but thats all. I still can't really use my brain, take things in, remember things,

Differences in care - an experience shared
Over the last couple of days my eyes have been opened to differences of opinion within the medical profession when it comes to an aps diagnosis. I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant. I'm taking a low dosage of Fragmin, combined with aspirin. Prior to my pregnancy, I experienced 5 miscarriages, pre-term
