Salvage HD brachytherapy
The options that i have is to have Salvage HD brachytherapy with hormone therapy or to wait…i have a localized recurrence. with a PSA 1.5. There is a an intraductal component. There is a 70% rate for cure if i have the salvage treatment. However, there are toxicities associated the brachytherapy. Both

Any Cons to Orchiectomy?
Currently on Eligard & Zytiga and strongly considering an Orchiectomy. Is there any benefit to Eligard over surgery and testicle removal? I understand all of the psychological aspects, I'm interested in any treatment advantage between long term LHRH agonists vs testicle removal. My Gleason scores

Changed doctors but at same place. Had ct scan and bone scan in June, MRI with coil and probe in July, many labs, all at this place but the new MO wants more scans before seeing him. Had one Degarelix just before the MRI and a surgical castration since. Seems like after each test, his dementia is

My rheumatology upset me when he saw my DEXA scan told me to take FORTEO?He said I was going to break my hip or back.
In the past I did have two vertebral
fractures
. My DEXA scan is very poor because I stopped taking probably are due to the pandemic and other decisions not to take such a strong medication. My daughter is upset with me and warned me that I could wind up in a wheelchair.

What to do about my Osteoporosis? 78 years old, Last DEXA scan shown severe osteoporosis. Did not like what the doctor said to do.
I have had two
fractures
in the past but nothing in the past two years. I stopped taking the Priola. That’s when my bone density went down. I stopped because I didn’t like taking the medication and was worried about the side effects. any suggestions?

An accident.
Thank G-d No
fractures
, but severe bruises. I'm lucky I have a walker where I can still walk outside. No Eliptical Trainer. The pain gets so bad in my legs I sadly start crying in the a.m and evenings when lying in bed.

Lupron vs Trelstar
My first injection 3+ months ago was with Lupron. When I got my second injection last week I was given Trestar. The PA said it was a common thing to interchange the two due to costs of the drug or availability at the time. Is it indeed a common practice and are there any cons with this practice?

New Diagnosis & Feeling Overwhelmed
I'm going in for an xray of my feet/ankles to check for
fractures
. Next Tuesday, I begin the daily injections of Forteo. I've started calcium/vitamin D. Due to the severity of my osteoporosis combined with my age, I'm really worried about what the next few years of my life will look like.

Proteolytic Enzymes... Has anyone had any success with them?
I already take Curcumin and Vit K2 on top of ADCAL supplements and wondered if anyone has used Proteolytic Enzymes. Are they worth the money? I am currently on 7.5mg Steriods and taking Alendronic acid too.

what a conundrum! Is it PMR or NOT
No injuries, just stress
fractures
from osteoporosis resulting from a 5 &1/2 year prednisone use averaging about 15mg daily. I received a hip/groin steroid shot under fluoroscopy . It has been 6 days and not a lot of relief is being felt. They said it could take up to 10 days.

Firmagon and Zytiga
Medications are controlling PSA to a non detectable level for my Metastatic Prostate Cancer. Considering going off Zytiga. Also any thoughts on Orgovyx vs Firmagon. I do not like present side effects: hot flashes, fatigue and tiredness.
