Fostair instead of Seretide
Can anyone tell me more about
Fostair
as I have just been changed to it from seretide, but having read up about side effects I am not very happy, as two bad interactions are possible with two of the heart drugs I take.

Maybe it's not asthma?
Since then I have had ventolin, qvar, symbicort and last week
fostair
. The
fostair
seems to be the best up until now - however exertion still leaves me struggling. Only prednisolone has returned me to normal service.

New ultra long acting combination inhaler. Cheaper than symbicort, It might help some?
It is not licensed for use in patients who are already adequately controlled on both an ICS and a LABA, unlike the other 4 ICS/LABA combination inhalers that are licensed in the UK for the treatment of asthma (summaries of product characteristics: Seretide, Flutiform, Symbicort and
Fostair
).

I'm at a bit of a loss
I'm currently taking
fostair
100/6 , spiriva, salbutamol, montelukast, phyllocontin, fexofenadine, and have had repeated courses of prednisolone until about January this year when my consultant decided to keep me on 30mg maintenance dose. None of these meds seem to make a great deal of difference.

Further Questions - I hope you don't mind
She is currently using a '
Fostair
' inhaler, 'Salamol' inhaler, Tiotropium and Acetylcysteine capsules - I've seen other posts where people are on different medications so am hoping my mums may get changed which will make an improvement. Any advice, reassurance or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hay Fever season & brittle asthma
I felt I was better prepared this year, my action plan in place, new inhaler -
fostair
, double dose antihistamines, montelucast at night, demista nasal spray, back to ideal weight, fit as a fiddle, peak flow 470, yoga twice a week.

Hi started on

Different inhaler
Hi ive now been taken off seretide 250 1puff twice a day and put on
fostair
with a spacer 2 puffs twice a day. Is there a big difference between the 2 inhalers or is it a case of what suits the person .

Prevented change, not working
I have previously had
fostair
and this did the same. Are they similar drugs? Is there anything left to try?

Worried about going to uni
This meant I had to stay in hospital for 4 days and have now been put on a
fostair
inhaler (two puffs, twice daily) and my asthma symptoms are slowly going back to normal. However, this shook me up a little bit and I started thinking about what if I get sick at uni?
