Yes and I am also on fostair which has formoterol which is a longer lasting version of your blue Inhaler coupled with beclomethasone which is a Steroid to reliever inflamation

I also take fexofenadine for allergies (the docs believe there is an allergic component to my asthma.... that and I've given myself a bout of allergic rhinitis twice from breathing in dust)

I have been taking montelukast for last 3 years without any inhaler then I started taking blue inhaler then I found no effect of montelukast. So I stopped taking that further

Is it necessary to take any antiallergic? bcz I m also allergic.

If you are allergic to aero allergens (the type you breathe in: dust, pollen and moulds come to mind) then yes these will affect your asthma

I'm on Symbicort 100/6, if I take 2 puffs in the morning I never have to use Ventolin.

If I use 1 puff of Symbicort 200/6 I need to take Ventolin several times per day.

I think this proves the importance of the Formotorol replacing the Ventolin.

This is why you can use the SMART regimen with Symbicort.

But there is no any difference between symbicort 100/6 2puff n 200/6 1puff

Then why is it so??

in reply toJoiya

joija, YES there is!

2 puffs of Symbicort 100/6 is 200/12 - so twice as much Formoterol which is similar to Ventolin (Salbutamol).

Ohh got it.

It happens due to the deficiency of formoterol.

I use my reliever about 6-7 times a day. My respiratory consultant knew this, despite being tried on several combination inhalers. The latest is flutiform 250 and started on theophylline but my eczema is reacting to this so I've stopped them.

I have a very high blood Ige level and was on Xolair for 3 years and stopped it 3 months ago as I felt it wasn't helping. Unfortunately it must have helped me skin as I'm having real bad flare up but asthma is just the same sadly.

I want to see an immunologist to see if they have any ideas.

If you use your reliever all the time it is because you need a preventer, your asthma is not controlled. You shouldn't use your reliever more than 6 times a day anyway because it becomes ineffective your lungs get used to it. So you need to go back to your GP asap. Good luck x
