update to my post on Flecainide
Song thought I would update the group on my earlier post. After taking the first dose of this medication yesterday I felt very unwell quite quickly. My blood pressure went up, this came down after a few of hours but in doing so my resting heart rate dropped from 70 to to 42 and stayed mid 40s. My

Flecainide and eyesight problems - a follow up
He has never seen this before and even raised a yellow card as he thinks it must be the

that is changing my eyesight.

Pre Syncope and AF
I have put up with PAF for around 6 years and take the usual medication
Flecainide
, Apixaban, Bisoprolol, also take Ramipril & Atorvastatin. Also take Zapain for arthritic knees. Worryingly during the last 3 months I have had increasing episodes of Pre syncope.

Constant PVCs
Hi, I've had PVCs for 10 years, and take daily
Flecainide
and Verapamil. All was fine until a month ago when I was in Hospital with Periorbital Cellulitis, following weeks with a virus, which was painful and stressful.

Adizem/Flecainide Side Effects
I take 50 mg
Flecainide
am and pm and am taking Adizem 120 slow release in the evening. Does anyone else have a problem with increased need to visit the loo in the evening or night time?

Coming Off Flecainide.
Flecainide
and Apixaban. So helpful when you're struggling. Since coming off the
Flecainide
last Monday I have checked my Kardia frequently. It always reports NSR. My EP and GP insisted it was ok to come off
Flecainide
cold turkey.

Rhinitis Medicamentosa/A.F./Hip Replacement
Hi, I am about to have a consultation assessment for a hip replacement and having already posted about my concern with having to stop my
Flecainide
(150mg x 2) pre-op and being scared of going into A.F. prior or during the op.

Post ablation fatigue

Norpace?
Have been on Metroprolol, Propranolol, Diltiazem,
Flecainide
, and the doctor now wants to try Norpace. The EP thinks my SVT is vagally mediated. Anyone have any experience with Norpace? I have had terrible side effects with everything up to this point.

Covid Jab - ending my previous comment on a posting a few weeks back, I promised I’d let the forum know how my jab went…….
I take 50 mg
Flecainide
BiD (twice daily) but after consultation with my EP, dropped the Beta Blockers recommended with it as they made running absolutely missable and soul destroying.

2 years today , no afib episodes
I take
flecainide
, metoprolol , and Xarelto. No ablations. I'm also really surprised at how long reprieve has lasted. But here's some things I've done that I think have helped. I started walking 2 times a day for a total of 4 miles, up to 7 miles in the winter.

Pulse Field ablation.
Finally in December 2022 meds changed to
Flecainide
, symptoms disappeared. Despite this in April 2023 local cardiac team offered an ablation on grounds afib would eventually recur and also being on
Flecainide
long term not desirable. So elected to have the ablation.

PAF - move to PiP only
Currently, along with my daily
flecainide
, I also have the option of 'emergency PiP' too - extra does of flecanide plus beta blocker but thankfully I have never had to use this. On my next review in Sept, the removal of the
flecainide
and anti-platelet is up for discussion and a move to PiP only.

Exercise or not
I tried deep breathing but about 830 I took my pip,
flecainide
50mg prescribed four and a half years ago by cardiologist. I saw him 6 months after I was diagnosed. My question is: is it ok to exercise such as a walk or should I rest?

Flecainide, Diltiazem and Shortness of Breath
Anyone get shortness of breath (SOB) from
Flecainide
and/or Diltiazem -- not right away, but months later? For the first six months on both drugs, I had no SOB. For the second six months I had SOB. Now that I stopped both drugs, it seems better.

Tooth extraction and ectopics
I’m on
flecainide
(50mg twice a day and one 1.25mg bisoprolol ) Would the local anaesthetic cause the significant ectopics or could it be the blood which I’m clearly swallowing. Hopefully things go back to normal in the next few days in terms of ectopics. Any views would be gratefully received.
