Take 5 mg of Tadalafil Now my Oncologist recommends switching from FIRMAGON to ENANTON LP30......every 6 months I am not convinced.....Should I stay with Firmagon or switch to ENANTON Any comments.....Thanks

It will probably surprise few of us that libido-reducing Firmagon has been found to be useful for treating pedophiles in a small Swedish study. They found that it had rapid onset of action (it is a direct GnRH antagonist).

(age 80) Started FIRMAGON in August 2019 and had 20 sessions of Radiotherapy in October. BNP...Brain natriuretic Peptide... On 27/11/2019 720 pg/ml On 20/04/2020 2007 pg/ml I seek advice concerning this high value..... My URO does not know what it means...

Have had several treatments including robotic prostatectomy (November 2018), Firmagon (one month), Lupron, Eligard (ongoing), Zytiga/Prednisone (6 months), Provenge immunotherapy, Xgeva (ongoing) and Olaparib (ongoing). PSA has been undetectable for the past year.

Guys Will it be safe to have the Flu Vaccine whilst on Firmagon and Xtandi

Been on ADT for 18 months (Firmagon then Lupron). Started Xtandi 8 months ago. I know Xtandi can cause seizures, but I think that would have shown up before now. Still working at 68 yo and in good health as far as my doctors and I know. It doesn't happen often, but often enough to notice.

Doctor already has a plan when PSA starts to rise, and that is Firmagon. I know it won't last forever, but going to ride this train as long as I can. I haven't felt this good since before surgery. Lost the 20 pounds I gained on top of that.

Hey everyone, Is anyone familiar with a possible side effect from Docetaxel or Firmagon that would cause abdominal distention? My dad is suffering with distention and tightness in his lower abdominal causing great discomfort. Lots of burping and farting but really no relief.

After PSA increasing for 4 consecutive months to 0.15 I started SRT 38 sessions to the prostate bed plus 6 monthly injections of Firmagon. Last Firmagon injection was October 2019 and I was left with severe fatigue and depressed mod.

(Psa before surgery was 9) He then went on firmagon and completed salvage radiation to the prostate bed. He was on firmagon for 9 months. Unfortunately as soon as it wore off his psa started climbing back up, with a doubling time of about 4.5 months.

Step one was firmagon to reduce test levels. He started chemo shortly after diagnosis, 6 infusions of taxotere. Saw reduction in tumor count and size. Took 3 months off and now starting another round of taxotere and carboplatin.

He restarted Firmagon (two injections to restart) and in 33 days his T has gone from 672 to 125 and PSA from 2.09 to 1.16. I had hoped for a faster drop. When he first started Firmagon in 2018 his T went from 630.5 to 22.5 in 36 days. PSA went from 24 to 0.66.

Started firmagon and erleada late September. Looking for a good recommendation for prostrate oncologist at CCF or UH Cleveland. Thanks for any help

A Dx urologist put me on eligard + firmagon 6 months 0.1. Off of firmagon. MO on xgeva Psa steadily increasing to 12.3 now wants me on xtandi. Scared about what to do? Age 79 active and in great shape.

So for you newly diagnosed brothers, please know that you have a long life ahead of you..Still on monthly Firmagon injections and daily 50 MG of Casodex. I feel totally normal most days and exercise vigorously every other day.

Dx 12/15/2018, PSA 60, GS 3+4, ADT eligard, firmagon, casodex, 6 month PSA=0.1, 8 month=.9, off casodex, 10 month =4.6, 12 month =12.3. PET scan impression = SCLEROTIC OSSEOUS MOST METABOLICALLY ACTIVE IN THE POSTERIOR ASPECTOF THE RIGHT ILLIAC BONE.

We have had two shots of firmagon as well as taking Erleada daily. PSA down to 45. Next week we start Zytiga and Lupron. We have not had another scan done as of yet. He is achy from bone pain because of the Mets, all over his body... and of course hot flashes.

Started out with PSA of 2470 went down to 42 after Firmagon injection. Just completed 6 rounds of Chemo and 3 rounds of Zometa along with taking Bicalumide and Predisone. Current PSA is hovering around 100.

My dad feels very good except some hot flaches due to the firmagon. The urologist want to switch with Eligard very 6 months and oncologist every 3 months. Really confused..... I appreciate any advice from you. Thank and have a nice day.
