Vertigo

For the last week or so I have been having mini flashes of vertigo. No more than a few seconds. Been on ADT for 18 months (Firmagon then Lupron). Started Xtandi 8 months ago. I know Xtandi can cause seizures, but I think that would have shown up before now. Still working at 68 yo and in good health as far as my doctors and I know. It doesn't happen often, but often enough to notice. My PSA has been creeping up and my MO says we may go to Abiraterone, which I believe doesn't have the seizure risk.

Thanks. I do have a wrist monitor at home and work. I get another Lupron shot in my butt this afternoon. I will mention it to my urologist.

Could be unrelated to meds, too. I have had a few episodes over the past decade (my 50s), as have a few other "aging" friends, and all seemed to be inner-ear related. So don't ignore that possibility.

Ready to try Abiraterone. I had dizziness and vertigo while on double adt . Luckily it has stopped. Good luck getting away from it 🤙🏽

The etiology of vertigo varies but symptomatology involves “room spinning” usually associated with changes in head positioning or body position changes along with it . Most common reason is BPPV although Labyrinthitis is another Dizziness or lightheaded does not not typically involve room spinning ( which involves eye movements which at times can be seen by another known as nystagmus) . Should be diagnosed by MD to R/O other causes
