Defining well controlled asthma
Hi all. I’ve looked around online as to what well controlled asthma is because that’s what we’re supposed to be aiming for, right? Here’s the gist of what I’ve found:- • Few to no symptoms day or night • Perform daily activities without symptoms • Sleeping well • Normal (for you

Decrease Nubeqa?
I'm 83, prostate cancer(PSA 30) with negative bone scan, negative MRI, but PET shows multiple small mets throughout both lungs and multiple lymph nodes throughout the chest. Started with 600 mgm bid of Nubeqa, and Orgovyx 120 mgm once a day. I also received radiation to the prostate approx. 6 months

Is it known for Electromagnetic Field Radiation (EMF) to increase TSH whilst still having normal T4 and T3 levels?
Hi, I know a lot of people say that electromagnetic fields are generally not a risk, but what if someone is exposed to it constantly throughout the day without any fresh air, surrounded by computers and other equipment quite close to your body? Can this increase and play havoc with your TSH number

Started Testosterone, already on T4/T3 combo - getting side effects 😳
Hi all. I’ve been stable on 75mcg levo and x3 doses of 5mcg lio for some time. 11 days ago I started testosterone for menopause taking Testogel 1/8th of a packet daily. Been feeling better but the last couple of nights have struggled with insomnia - sleeping fitfully and not to very long at all! (I

Sporadically fall backwards with no warning
3 weeks into new dose of 100 levothyroxine (on waking) + 2 doses of 7.5 t3 (one on waking and one at 3pm - [built up gradually]). Anyone had 2 blood tests with different labs to compare results?
Has anyone ever been unsure of their results and taken two tests around the same time eg. NHS and a private company ie. Blue Horizon to compare their results to see if there is much in the way of a difference in levels for accuracy purposes? The reason I ask is via my GP/NHS it's never guaranteed that

Blood results- T3 levels consistent? Can I improve them?
Hello, Despite feeling overall better for some time I started feeling too regularly worse again. I suspected low T3 (perimenopause also possible). Yep, my T3 is on the lower end of ‘normal’. These are my results: TSH 1.53 mlU/L (norm 0.27-4.2) Free T4 15.6 pmol/L. (12.0-22.0) Free

Eye problems following catheter ablation
I am now 10 weeks post catheter ablation.Following the procedure I developed aura migraines daily for around 10 days. The fact sheets explained that this was a possible complication and should rectify itself, which it did and 🤞 I have not had any migraines since. I have now developed a bloodshot patch

Beware of Lansoprazole
I have taken this drug for years for acid reflux. Last year, during a medical check, it was found that my blood count was so low it was almost at needing a transfusion level. I was put on Ferrous Fumarate which brought my level up but my ferritin level is still low. I had an endoscopy and it was discovered

Does anyone have any direct experience of Targinact?
Hi Everyone, this is my first post but I've been reading everything on this forum for a while now. I'm in real trouble with augmentation after taking ropinirole for 11 years. I successfully tapered off and was completely free of it by April 2023, however the RLS remained severe, and in October I decided

Unsure about thyroid results/next steps
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me understand my thyroid results. TSH 3.5 (0.35 -5.5) FT4 14.7 (11.9 -21.6) FT3 5.14 (3.1 -6.8) Anti-TPO 253 (<34) Anti-Tg 120 (<115) The Anti-TPO seems high, what should be my next steps? Thanks 🙏

Could This Be Thyroid?
I know what you're going to say... do these tests and just wait and see... I'm very anxious with symptoms right now and just looking for some thoughts. Although I am currently awaiting investigations into what I'm fearful might be a liver or pancreas problem (you know what I'm saying), I'm hoping some

Now I'm really confused – surprising test results
I've been on here before complaining about the same problems which seemed to stem mostly from undertreated hypothyroidism and doctors being too cautious to change my T4 dose. My picture has been complicated for several years by atrial fibrillation which has the grace at times to run to tachycardia (very
