My immune system
Perhaps a virus, this made me panic a little bit as it reminded me of when's I had neutropenia after 3rd
FCR
treatment in 2013 then a week in hospital. I worked hard to get my temp down doing the usual plenty of water drinks cold compresses and paracetamol.

Doc is recommending treatment
I've reached a point where I need
FCR
. I am SCARED, especially about side effects and the 50/50 chance of losing my hair. PLEASE share your experiences with me. Does it stay in remission once it gets there?

Cycle 1 of BR compared to FCR, and any advice regarding Port v. PICC line please?
So at the end of cycle 1 of BR, I would say
FCR
was a walk in the park in comparison.

FLAIR Trial - ErnieUK Bloods before round 2 FCR
Apologies for the delay in posting this as I’ve had some issues with the anti-sickness control medication during round 2, that I’ll post on separately. So here are my last x3 sets of figures, the “JAN” ones being at the end of round 1, just prior to starting round 2 treatment. These figures were literally

Updated clinical data may significantly impact treatment of CLL - Jeff Sharman
Here he discusses the impact of idelalisib and ibrutinib on the treatment of relapsed patients and the relevance of
FCR
treatment in the older population: http://www.healio.com/hematology-oncology/hematologic-malignancies/news/online/%7B4c46250f-c7dd-4acc-a87c-026815e5ab13%7D/updated-clinical-data-may-significantly-impact-impact-treatment-of-cll

FCR, FC, or F
I know that recent standard treatment is fludarabin+cyclophosphamide+rituximab (
FCR
). Before I will discuss with my hematologist, I want to ask your opinions. Anyone have experience with only fludarabin mono therapy? I want to ask another questions on RCR treatment.

Blood counts very poor, soon to start BR, and unsure whether to have jabs? (my first attempt to post this message only half worked)
I’ve never had any of these vaccinations before, and don’t know why I need them now, as 4 years ago they weren’t even suggested prior to my
FCR
treatment.

CLL with pleural effusions and Ibrutinib
FCR
had to be stopped. I have recently been on Ibrutinib for two months. Is there any evidence that over time, Ibrutinib will resolve the effusion problem ? David.

Atypical CLL
He was started on
FCR
but it was not as effective as the Dr had hoped. (He had 3 doses.) he then had Rituximab and Bendamustine but again, his lymph nodes and spleen are still enlarged and the Dr says it's not looking typical of CLL. He's had a full CT scan, bone marrow test, etc...

CLL and Fatty Acids
He has had
FCR
ending in February and is in (partial) remission. His white cell counts are low n = 1.4 l=0.4 and lymphocytes are stable so far so mostly good news. we are getting on with life.

Bone Marrow Exam
So all complete now, good to go, and waiting to be randomised by the central computer in Leeds into one of the two arms of the FLAIR trial,
FCR
or IR. Glad I'm not choosing in my case. Kind regards and thank-you for all your excellent posts. Ernest

FLAIR Trial (IR vs FCR) Sign Up
After that a few days for the computerized randomization process to decide which arm of the trial I'm in (
FCR
or IR) and then the treatment can start. Hopefully my spleen can rest a bit easy now, knowing that help is on the way :-) Best Wishes to All, Ernest
