Pharmacy errors - given wrong medication.
Yesterday went to pick up my sinemet CR at the pharmacy. Stayed in the car, my husband went to get it. When I called in the prescription I asked for three months refill. It felt really light so I decided to take a look at it, I'm glad I did. It was only for a month however it must have been sinemet IR

Fever post chemo
Round 5 of
FCR
infusions was Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. My normal temp is 36.6 and Thursday evening it went up to 37.5 for the first time. Then on Friday it rose all day until it reached 38.12 (Anything over 38C (100.4 for USA) means you have to call it in, so I called the emergency line.

Meds not working after starting taking at bedtime
My sinemet worked fine for quite a while but I was having trouble sleeping due to stiffness so I began to take sinemet CR 200/50 at bedtime. Once I started doing this my meds during the day dropped off. They used to work for 4-5 hours each dose but now they only work for 2 hours each dose. Has anyone

Very interesting for all of us I think you will agree. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/stories-42920045 5 months since my
FCR
and my bloods were back to being poor last week - neutropenia again which has set me back and I think may lead to a re-evaluation of the work life balance I am (not) managing

Round 4 FCR complete
I finished round 4 of my
FCR
infusions just 2 weeks ago so should be at my lowest blood point, but am having absolutely 000000 side effects. If anything, I am not as tired as I was after rounds 2 and 3. and the feelings of incessant coldness have gone away.

What is your real ‘biological age’, and what does this mean for your health?
When it comes time for treatment, our options are strongly influenced by our age - or perhaps our relative level of fitness compared to others our age, rather than how many years we've lived, as this has a strong determining influence on whether we would do better on BR rather than
FCR
, for example.

Loss of a great man
Treated with
FCR
, reacted great and went into remission. 17p then reappeared around November 2015. We went to the hospital of the University of Penn and found a great hematologist and and even better supporting team of nurses.

Opicapone
Has anyone tried opicapone with Sinemet cr. I have been told you can't take them together. As I take Sinemet cr through the day but it's not lasting very long now only about hour and a half and I wanted a way to extend it. In fact has anyone had experience of opicapone and whether it smooths out Sinemet

Tongue biting
Ok, this may be crazy, I keep biting the sides of my tongue and mouth since starting
FCR
. I have bruises and raw spots. This mostly happens at night but also during the day. Anyone else out there ever have this problem? Beth

Watch and wait is over
I am going to Dana Farber and taking part of a study that combines Ibrutinib with standard
FCR
treatment. I will take the Ibrutinib daily for the next 2 years and finished my 1st cycle of
FCR
12/19.

How do changes in diet affect CLL treatment? Are supplements safe to use? CLL experts Dr. Michael Keating and Dr. Jeff Sharman respond
Dr Keating was behind the development of
FCR
and Dr Sharman has provided some excellent blogs on CLL: http://www.cll-nhl.com
From the transcript
Dr Sharman [i]"I think that we've talked about fear before, and the anxiety.

2017 - Bright and Dark
After 6 x
FCR
in March '14 I'm still plodding on and even though my Consultant appointments have narrowed to 6 Weeks apart, there's been many bright spells during 2017 - in particular, 1. Free Car Parking at the hospital. (Once paid £22 during
FCR
Treatment) 2.

FCR on Flair trial at Christie Hospital
Dr Bloor suggested the Flair trial and I was randomised for
FCR
beginning mid Oct. My HDMS sample showed a typical CLL phenotype with germline IgVH and trisomy 12 I believe this means my likely remission after the
FCR
is reduced to approx 2/3 yrs.

Fcr started
First post after lots of reading on here. It has all been very helpful. I am male aged 66 diagnosed 4 years ago after hernia surgery If not for that I would not have found out until 5 months ago when I was admitted to hospital with anemia (heamoglobin of 6) received 4 units of blood initially followed

stopped imbruvica
I had chemo
FCR
in 2009 but came out of remission this year 2017 if not earlier This year I had colitis, bronchitis 2 times and pneumonia once. I am exhausted and wondering what the future might hold if I stop all treatments?

Insomnia and Sinemet
I have posted before about night time meds. I have taken Sinemet plus and entecapone 4 times a day, rasagaline, 24mg ropinirole (split into three doses). Have been taking sinemet cr at 11pm for a while as I felt that I needed some PD meds during the night. However it never seems to do anything. I

Happy 2018... Choose your Pooh Bear Character!
I'm now just over a year post
FCR
and mainly feeling pretty normal apart from the odd weird sensation where lymph nodes were.. Life has returned to a normal.. Albeit a new normal. Cll can overwhelm us and we drag it with us wherever we go.
