Hi everyone! My dad is on his 4th round of what they call “aggressive chemo” for NHL. He is taking FCR with monthly infusions of antibodies, antibirala, antibiotics (to prevent shingles and pneumonia, as well as oral chemo and 7 days monthly of immune boosting injections. This round was particularly tough and he’s feeling a lot of pain in his lymph nodes in his neck, abdomen and groin. He feels very run down (which I understand is part of the chemo), as well as fatigued, nauseated and his color I’ve noticed the whole “chemo look”. They said hopefully he only needs 6 rounds of this maybe 8. Anyone else go through this with similar circumstances or feeling? Just curious as this is his first round about - #4 just hit him particularly hard mom said. Any advice? Thanks everyone and big hugs and best of luck in your journey through this!

Hi,

Sorry to hear that your dad is struggling with treatment. When I had FCR I followed advice I received on this site.

I drank at least 5 litres of water each day.

I went for a walk each day, even though I really did not feel like it and found I felt better for it afterwards.

I hope things improve for your dad.

Best Wishes, Ian
