Desperate and worried
I started
Fasenra
(benralizumab) in March 2020. Must say I found the efficacy to be very good. Weaned off prednisone. Stopped
Fasenra
after 4 months as I had 3 infections in short period.

Query
Hi Does anyone know if there must be a gap between having The covid vaccine and taking my
Fasenra
injection. My
Fasenra
injection is due soon and could be called in any day soon for the vaccine. I will be calling the severe asthma nurse. But just thought I’d ask Thank you

corticosteroid injections for treatment of severe persistent asthma
The main injections for asthma are: benralizumab (
Fasenra
) omalizumab (Xolair) mepolizumab (Nucala) reslizumab (Cinqaero) These medicines are not suitable for everyone with asthma and can only be prescribed by an asthma specialist.

Biologics (mAbs) - what are they and how do they work? 🤔
BENRALIZUMAB/
FASENRA
Whilst mepo and resliz work by preventing eosinophil production, benra works by attaching onto the eosinophil and destroying it. It cannot differentiate between eosinophils and basophils (another type of white blood cell) so attaches to both.

Brilliant Benralizumab/Fantastic Fasenra 🎉🎉
Hi all As you may or may not be aware, I have been on benralizumab injections now for 16 weeks (4 doses) and WOW! Having been ‘returned’ to my local to get my stabs (now every 2 months), I finally got a chance to catch up with one of the ANs there... having not been in the local since starting benra!

Asthma gets passed down by the Neanderthals
I’m gonna try
Fasenra
because it doesn’t contain enosinaphils they say Dupixent does. Good luck everyone.Excema and asthma are definitely connected.

Xolair, Dupixent, Nucala or Fasenra?
My doctor is offering me a choice of these drugs to improve asthma control. I have read some posts that Xolair and Nucala did nothing while others saw great improvements. Please share your experience with these drugs good and bad. Like many of you I am sensitive to many medications and definitely don't
