I am on farxgia for proteinuria, it hasn’t caused me any issues so far, I’ve been on it for four weeks now, I’ve got a blood test due soon to find out if it is working. My Egfr is 25 hopefully it will be stable or be better fingers crossed. My renal consultant was determined that I needed to be on it, as she has heard only great reports of how effective it is for kidney function protection, especially when you have high levels of proteinuria.

Please let us know your results I have just gone on it for proteinuria

My Egfr is 24 at the last count, which was mid April, but due to a cyber attack which affected both Guys (renal consultant ) and Kings (G.P) I haven’t had a follow up blood until next Friday afternoon. I will update you with the results.

My results are that my function has decreased to Egfr 19 since April

Sorry to hear your Egfr has decreased but I did read somewhere that farixga causes a drop then comes back up again so don't be too disappointed has there been any change in proteinuria . I saw my nephrologist today he said you can't stop proteinuria just reduce it .I have been on Farixga for four weeks now and luckily no side effects

This is the second drop in Egfr. I originally was Egfr of 29 when I started Farixga, and it dropped to 24, and now it’s 19 Egfr. No side effects either, but I think my proteinuria is better. The earlier you can be put on Farixga the better outcome, I did read that being put on it at a lower stage,( stage 4) it can be detrimental to saving the kidneys. My consultant did tell me this, so I did go with an open mind.
