Fibroids Esmya Laproscopy
I have been taking
Esmya
for several months and have had an appointment with gynae today, I have 4 fibroids and they have responded well to the treatment. They are not significantly large so Gynae doesn't think any further treatment of
Esmya
will be required (have had 2 cycles).

Options?
Since my op I have had 7 months of Prostap injections, followed by 6 months of
Esmya
tablets (technically used in the reduction of fibroids, however my consultant has prescribed them for many of this Endo patients as it stops it reoccurring too quickly).

I've been prescribed
esmya
for fibroids. What can I expect? I've already had embolisation, tried prostap with HRT and now giving this a shot.

New to Esmya but bleeding
A new consultant I visited gave me three options- hysterectomy (at 28 this isn't option 1), an injection into blood vessels around womb or try these
esmya
tablets. I have started with the tablets. I did my first month came off and had my first period within 4-6 weeks.

Been taking this for one week. Previsously was on transmaric acid Had the most horrendous period ever having to change pad every half an hour. Flooding for about 2 hours for 2 days. Everything is fine now. Feel a little light headed at times. I just now feel at bit panicked. I now this should stop periods

Esmya/Fibroids/Mirena Looking for advice from anyone in similar situation.
Got referred to gynae, started on
Esmya
. First 3 weeks of
Esmya
, my pain increases to point of barely sleeping and begging for more pain relief. Then it settled down for 2 weeks but flared up again last week- leading up to when I was due my period.

I have been advised to take
Esmya
to shrink Fibroids but have read the list of side effects and am worried about commencing the treatement, especially as most of them seem to be common. Has anyone had experience with

I think I may have endometriosis on the bowel? Any advice?
I am currently on
Esmya
treatment for the fibroids but nothing has been done for my endometriosis yet. I have an appointment with an endo specialist this Tuesday, I'm hoping something more substantial can be done other than managing my pain with painkillers.

Has anyone taken esmya?
My gynaecologist has suggested trying
esmya
as zoladex aggravated my migraines. Does anyone have any experience of taking it and the side effects? x

Finally given the go ahead for Hysterectomy
My consultant has finally agreed I can have a hysterectomy after the
Esmya
tablets have worked. Got to wait for them to get funding agreed and then go on waiting list. Would love to hear from people who have had it done (womb, cervix and tubes coming out) to help me prepare for what to expect.

Waiting for the start of fibroid treatment
If the results are all clear I can start taking
Esmya
to hopefully shrink my fibroids which are giving me the size of a 20 week pregnant stomach. Hopefully these will work so I don't have to have a hysterectomy.
