Decision time!
My oncologist has given me 3 options, oral Capecitabane or two intravenous options,
Epirubicin
or Paclitaxel. All obviously have side effects, which depends on the individual, as well as the issue of how long it will give for any quality of life, but after nearly 6 weeks still feeling the after effects

Unrelenting pain post chemo dose
Commenced on 3 weekly
epirubicin
and cyclophosphamide. I'm on my 2nd cycle but during the 2 cycles I have the most horrendous, unrelenting pain in my upper back area which is also very tender. I have 15mg slow release morphine and more for breakthrough but despite this the pain continues.

Lovely holiday in Tenerife - back to cancer life!
It’s been a difficult time for me as my previous 3 IV treatments, taxol,
Epirubicin
& Eribulin had mixed results & just didn’t attack my pesky liver mets! Part of me even wanted a short treatment break but deep down I knew that wouldn’t be wise! Wishing you all a lovely weekend & stay safe!

Hi I’ve once again received news of liver progression from my latest CT scan following 10 weeks of
Epirubicin

My recent scan has shown progression in the liver!
However, she has also offered me two other options to consider
Epirubicin
or an oral drug called Vinorelbine. I am very scared of IV chemo so I’ve been given up to a week to digest things and reach a decision on what to try next.

Pondering my options....
Epirubicin
- once weekly continuous or 3 weekly Vinorelbine - oral day 1 & day 8 - 3 weekly cycle. I’m currently considering my options and Steve and I will visit Steph again on Thursday.

I was so scared of taking Paclitaxol chemo, but it has been ok.
You cannot imagine the shock when she laid out her plans for me which consisted of 4 sessions of EC chemo (
Epirubicin
and Cyclophosphamide) three weeks apart. Followed by 12 weekly doses of Paclitaxol.

We are green for go go go!
They are going with ECX with husband having an overnight stay for the
epirubicin
and cisplatin, not because of the time it takes, but they want to make sure he has enough liquid inside him so it's easier via a drip.

Any new drug treatments I can ask the doctor about? Running low on options
We have heard that using
epirubicin
is a potential option, however I am not exactly jumping out of my seat with excitement for this old drug.

@ Dr Available. ...TNBC, stage 3a. Age 30
Our onco decided to have a neoadjuvant chemo with Docetaxel,
epirubicin
and endoxan. They call it Nact regime. Her reports including PET shows localised disease with a 5 cm tumor IDC. Though Mri showed some sign in one of the nodes.....i think thats why Dr staged it at 3a.

Nail changes with chemo drugs
Two groups of chemotherapy drugs are particularly prone to cause nail changes: Taxanes e.g. docetaxel and paclitaxel Anthracyclines e.g. doxorubicin, idarubicin and
epirubicin
. Nail changes may also be seen with hydroxyurea.

He is just finishing his 6th cycle of ECX regime having had his last infusion of Cisplatin and
Epirubicin
10 days ago, so just 11 days' worth of Capecitabine to finish.

TNBC and recurrence
I had 4
Epirubicin
+ 4 Paclitaxel chemo cycles. A PET scan at the time of surgery had not revealed any metastases. With TNBC, the sceptre of recurrence always looms large. A few studies about aspirin, taurine and turmeric have purportedly shown some beneficial activity in this respect.
