A look at the next generation of Androgen Receptor therapies--AR Degraders/PROTACS
A PROTAC causes breakdown of proteins by targeting a specific system (in this case--AR system in PCa cell lines) as opposed to being an androgen production blocker (abiraterone) or an AR binder inhibitor (
enzalutamide
).

HOW GOOD IS DAROLUTAMIDE?
MO wants old standby,
Enzalutamide
. But I've read highly complimentary stuff about new AR, Darolutamide. Ideal chemical structure; fights receptors in two ways instead of one.

Extreme responses to immune checkpoint blockade following bipolar androgen therapy and enzalutamide in patients with mcrp cancer.
“Priming the pump” seems to be worth investigating if you have a DNA repair gene mutation ( BRCA2, ATM etc.) This was highlighted in a previous post but this article includes the NCT trial number which takes it to the next level https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7585736/

1/4 dose enzalutamide for MCRPc working for 4 years in 87 yr. old
ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: The management of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer involves second-generation antiandrogen therapy, including
enzalutamide
. The recommended dose of 160mg/day is sometimes difficult to use in elderly patients because of the burden of comorbidities.

Dexamethasone and Enzalutamide
I have read there is a moderate interaction meaning that it decreases effectiveness of the
Enzalutamide
. Does anyone know of this and should it be of concern? Thanks as always

Anything in addition to ADT and Enzalutamide
I am currently on 3-month Lupron injections and 4 daily
Enzalutamide
tablets a day. My PSA has reduced to 0.14, as of this last week's blood tests, which is good news. I'm also prescribed Apixaban for the Deep Vein Thrombosis.

update on the trials comparing bipolar ADT with Lupron/
Enzalutamide
: It looks extremely promising. Tall_Allen: What's your perspective on this? What about treating castrate sensitive patients?

Enzalutamide resistance & IKKB
"Although
enzalutamide
(ENZ) has been widely used to treat de novo or castration-resistant metastatic prostate cancer, resistance develops, and disease progression is ultimately inevitable.
