ADT 's effect on body fat and muscle mass from Life on ADT blog by Richard Wassersug
It turns out that adding abiraterone to standard ADT increases the diabetic risk slightly, while adding
enzalutamide
reduces that risk for some men on ADT. This can be partly understood by changes in the androgen receptor, which is targeted by
enzalutamide

Good news for mCRPC (hopefully), phase 2
And here we go: "mCRPC patients who have relapsed or are refractory to androgen receptor signalling inhibitors (ARSIs) such as apalutamide, darolutamide, abiraterone and
enzalutamide
are included in the study." https://www.clinicaltrialsarena.com/news/oncternal-patient-prostate-cancer/

Anyone tried cabazitaxel (Jevtana) monotherapy?
I'm also thinking about taking
enzalutamide
(Xtandi) after the cabazitaxel if I still have detectable PSA. Thanks in advance.

Enzalutamide any advice/tips for dealing with side effects
Now doctors are suggesting that possible option is to switch onto Xtandi/
Enzalutamide
. Anyone in the same or similar situation. What are the main side effects of
Enzalutamide
and does anyone have advice or tips with dealing with side effects of this drug. Any advice would be much appreciated.

enzalutamide dosing
I have ealrly stage 4 prostate cancer, have been on lupron for just over 4 months, and
enzalutamide
Xtandi for just under 4 months. Not enjoying the side effects of 160 mg I reduced my dosage to 80 mg and tolorate it a little better.

Dad with Stage 4 PCa - Need some words of wisdom...again please!
Oncologist put Dad on
Enzalutamide
- been on it for 6 cycles - tolerated well but his PSA has gone from 76 to 87 in one week. So
Enzalutamide
has started to become 'ineffective'.

Criteria for "my ADT has stopped working and we have to move to another"
Remember NCCN protocol is to start
enzalutamide
or apalutamide if PSA clearly rising.” Then I was shocked this week to read that SOC has only a 20% success rate! Do any of you more experienced gentlemen have any observations for me? I certainly don’t know whether to be scared or relaxed! Thx

Does this mark the beginning of castration resistance?
Since May 2023, dad has been on monthly Degarelix (Firmagon) injections and on a regime of 160 mg of
Enzalutamide
daily (Xtandi). His PSA reached a nadir of 0.02 in March 2024. Most recent PSA in April 2024 showed an PSA increase to 0.03 with testosterone value of 0.41 ng/ml.

Nano enzalutamide: nanocrystalline version of enza is going to be tested
It could improve QoL as it means taking less pills...I don't know, my QoL would feel a lot better with a "hey! you are cured!" but.... results in Q1 of this year https://bnnbreaking.com/breaking-news/health/nanoform-begins-clinical-trial-for-nanocrystalline-version-of-prostate-cancer-drug/

Pinostilbene inhibits the Enz-resistant CRPC cell line by inhibiting AR variant 7
in any event if you are failing on
enzalutamide
or any PCa warrior you probably should take pterostilbene.

Could I try BAT to restore sensitivity to previously used antiandrogen treatments.
I failed Abiraterone and SOC doesn't allow the switch to
Enzalutamide
. I was reading on the use of BAT to resensitize mCRPC. Would this be a therapy that could work or is it too late now that I have failed. I know its not SOC but I am running out of choices and looking for some clarity.

ADT or not?
Hi, i have Stage 4 PCA, Gleason 5+4 so I am on Degaralix and
Enzalutamide
. I tend to refer to this treatment as ADT as shorthand because to my mind they both reduce testosterone. I wonder if I’m misusing ADT or does it matter?

How long to Castrate Resistance: ADT+/- ARSI
Another measure is PSA progression which is available for all groups as a proxy for regimen failure: This is 2.3% (8/355) for ADT+E combo; 26% (93/358) for ADT mono; and 10% (37/355) for
Enzalutamide
monotherapy. Paul/MateoBeach

Post Degaralix
I know it’s doing it’s thing, along with
enzalutamide
but feeling my quality of life balance is tipping to far the other way. Hoping I’ll feel differently by the end of today.

Anybody else have severe insomnia from
enzalutamide
? I'm only getting ~3 hours sleep since starting. Pretty deep fatigue too. Any advice on ways to manage this?
