High heart rate post-ablation
I had a cardiac ablation for both AF and flutter 4 weeks ago. Recovery has been pretty smooth; one episode at 10 days where i had a heart rate of like 150 bpm for 4 hours, but it settled on its own. at 2 week check-up, EKG showed no sign of AF, but some flutter. my EP added amioderone to the metropolol

Heavy periods (sorry it's a long post)
Has anyone heard of
Endometrial
ablation
(the lining of the womb is destroyed and stops periods)? It's one of the things I read about and maybe hope I can get if possible.

Recent ‘Pace & Ablate’
Had the two procedures done a month apart. AV node ablation done on August 4th. Super good and fast recovery. Wonderful to have normal heart rhythm after a year of constant Afib, tiredness and shortness of breath. So thankful to the Afib Clinic staff of St. Paul’s Hospital.

Pain in the neck - and elsewhere!
On Wednesday I finally managed to be admitted for an ablation. I was under the impression it was to be a radio frequency ablation, but turned out to be cryo ablation as the first step. Things worked out as expected, and I had a good chat with the anaesthetist in the daycare ward and again in the cath

2nd Ablation
I had a catheter ablation for atrial flutter which was successful unfortunately I also have A-Fib. My doctor does not think a 2nd ablation would help and believes my A-Fib can be treated with Flecainide which so far has controlled my A-Fib. Just looking for thoughts from anyone who may be in the same

Ablation for SVT
Hi everyone, new here :) I was diagnosed with SVT in Feb this year after one of my episodes was finally recorded on an ECG. I get them so rarely, once or twice a year at most so it's taken a while. Cardiologist strongly recommended a catheter ablation over medication as he didn't see the point in taking

AV NODE ABLATION
Has anyone had one of these? It has been recommended to me by Cardiologist but means the pacemaker takes over the role of keeping me alive.

Did anyone else suffer from very frequent ectopic beats after cardiac ablation?
I had an ablation on Thursday (today is Monday) and since Saturday evening I’ve had frequent ectopic beats it’s started sparse but it’s nearly 30 an hour, most hours now. I have experienced them before but never to this degree the last two days have been hell never been so stressed and anxious they feel

Is AF going to shorten my life??
I have continual AF, irregular beats and a resting heart rate around 100bpm. I am on 10 mg Bisoprolol, which means my heart rate never goes above 125 bpm. My quality of life is fairly good, and I am not particularly breathless. I have seen two cardiologists. One says that my condition shouldn't shorten

Catheter Ablation in Australia and availability under public or private system only - and out of pocket costs?
I am a fit/active 56 yo male in Canberra Australia with persistent AFIB but succesfully on 200mg amiodarone daily that has me in NSR all the time no matter what I do or eat - I have no side effects being on amiodarone at all - but this is dangerous medication so long term - the meds are not a solution
