rapid weight gain
anyone else have rapid weight gain on metoprolol or
Eliquis
? I have been on medication for 6 months and have gained 15 lbs. so far. I exercise regularly (run, spin, elliptical rower etc) talking 4/5 days a week… I am still rapidly gaining. I don’t eat poorly or any excess sweets.

Apixaban
I noticed this week that
Eliquis
Apixaban has been replaced in my medication by Teva brand, just wondering how this is being received by people. Having experienced previous problems with brand changes with other medications I am initially a bit apprehensive.

One year and 3 day anniversary
My first episode was when I was 48 years old and spent 3 days in hospital until heart sorted itself out. 9 months later another episode that lasted about 6 hours(took my flecanide, metoporol, and
Eliquis
as PiP). Very happy to make it a year since that last episode.

Headaches on HU
I do drink 64 ozs of fluids daily, I am afraid of trying Anagrelide as I have Paroxysmal AFib (take
Eliquis
). My question is did anyone experience this and then headaches eventually stop? Eileen in Pennsylvania, USA

Eliquis and minor surgery.
Eliquis
and minor surgery. I’m scheduled for minor surgery and the doctor wants me to stop taking
Eliquis
48 hours before and 48 hours after the surgery. I’m not sure that’s a good idea. Any feedback would be welcome. Thank you. Four

Older female, need thoughts on ablation decision
Oh, and yes I am on beta blocker, major rhythm med ( Tikosyn) and
Eliquis
. EP surgeon is highly recommended. He say it’s my call. Cannot guarantee the afib cure but pretty sure about the aflutter and high heart rate. Am concerned about recovering.

Can Eliquis cause a flair of PMR
Eliquis
was prescribed because of my AFIB and being 76 years old. I am active and not overweight, walk three miles most days, never had a heart attack or stroke. Was out on 5mg of
Eliquis
twice a day. After about 35 days tuned up with flair of PMR that I had Six years ago.

having to stop Eliquis prior to surgery
Eye dr wants me to get eyelid ptosis repair (eyelid drooping) and needs me to go off
Eliquis
several days prior and also after surgical procedure (which won't be until early next year). I am so frightened but if I don't get eyelid done it could droop more plus I am 84 so need to get it done.

Had an ablation in February and everything was great until....
Dr prescribed
Eliquis
& Amiodarone to keep it in rhythm & protect from blood clots. Had the ablation in February, had 3 months of Afib then everything was great....until I had a kidney stone.

Besremi side effects.
Aspirin and
Eliquis
plus phlebotomies as needed. Now on Jakafi (7 months) 5mg in am 5 mg in pm. All my blood work is perfect so Drs are happy. Unfortunately I have had so much nausea from it. Sometimes it’s debilitating. Last week I was given a reprieve and went off of it as a trial for one week.

Struggling to understand all this.
My doctor has me on a variety of meds that includes-BP, Chol, Lasix,Farxiga,
Eliquis
, Cytoxan and Prednisone-plus a few more. Always tired. My current EGFR-49, my creatinine level is-1.47, and my urine/protein-14.34. I am suppose to start Rituximab Infusion as soon as I call.

When is bradycardia afib?
The warfarin was changed to a more modern anti-collagulant
Eliquis
5mg twice daily. OK it means that I don't have to have regular blood checks with that. However I was also given Betaloc ZOK, 25mg each morning, which is the trade name of metaprolol succinas here (Czech Republic).

Ablation Scheduled for July
Presently taking
Eliquis
and Multaq (400mg 2/day) My cardiologist suggests ablation in an effort to get off the meds and prevent it worsening.

Reactions to Flecainide and Amiodarone?
My cardiologist had me on metoprolol 50, and
Eliquis
5x2, for occasional episodes, and he did the 1st cardioversion during a several weeks-long episode. He referred me to an EP when I went into Afib again. EP added Flecainide to my meds and did the second cardio.

Permanent Afib Diagnosis Next Step?
Currently on 10mg
Eliquis
(about 2 months) and even there I'm reading that 10 may be too much to stay on for the rest of my life but rather to do 5mg! Marino
