Intermittent ADT (Eligard) treatment
I went on
Eligard
and started Chemo right away. That knocked my PSA to undetectable quickly, though have ongoing effects from the metastisis.

Looking for some guidance...
He received his first injection of
Eligard
on Sept.27. We had to wait for insurance to approve the Prolia injection and he got it (the injection) today. The plan is to have the
Eligard
injection every four months and the Prolia twice a year. Should we get an oncologist ???

New Onc New Direction
He continues on Lupron, now
Eligard
Dr. Drake, our new oncologist, says he’ll have to stay on forever even with its devastating effects, weight gain, muscle loss, ED, the list goes on. That was disappointing to hear. We were hoping for a lupron vacation.

Start radiation in 2 days, but Eligard is driving me crazy.
I start radiation in 2 days and I am scheduled for another
Eligard
injection in about a month. Has anyone stopped these injections. The side effects, hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings are driving me crazy.

Double Continuous ADT Eligard & Casodex Johns Hopkins Clinical Trial
Began Hopkins Clinical Trial Jan 2015 using 3-month
Eligard
& daily 50mg Casodex. PSA undetectable since then & the bladder wall swelling has "resolved." Side effects, sure, but as we like to say "I can live with them."

Eligard
22.5 with Bicalutamide PSA dropped to .3 but no ts up to 6.8 as of 2/17/17. Docs are recommending xtandi or zytiga. need to know which works better first to avoid resistance to the next one. Dr also said Provenge is something to consider and this is the time to do it.
