Pleural Effusion
Awaiting blood cultures and
echocardiogram
result. X-ray showed fluid, they have drained 700 ml from the space between my lungs and chest wall. It certainly has eased the pain and starting to feel a bit better. Has anyone experienced this post op? Would be interested to know. Take care all Lisa

Worsening Leaky Heart Valves.
When I had my last
echocardiogram
done last year, it showed I’ve got a very slight leaky aortic valve, and mild leaky pulmonary valve and a mild leaky triscipid valve. I see my cardiologist on the 20th Feb.

I have an
echocardiogram
scheduled next week. My family doesnt have a history of heart issues and I haven’t had issues in the past. I’ve seen a chiropractor twice since the year started as well to help deal with the neck pain. Any ideas on what the symptoms may be?

My first broken heart 💔
And an
echocardiogram
that showed fluid around my right ventricle. Now to wear this to see exactly what is going on , the technician who fitted it saw an abnormality in my heart rhythm straight away! I’m waiting to see Dr John Pauling who is a systemic sclerosis specialist based in Bath!

Worsening Breathing Difficulties
I was discharged and my GP has now referred me back to Cardiology for
Echocardiogram
and 24 Hour Holter. I'm still really worried, as these symptoms feel very much pulmonary related and I feel something has been missed/not diagnosed.

Introducing myself
I have six monthly check ups which involves an
Echocardiogram
& ECG. About three years ago was really the first time that an operation came up in conversation on one of my check ups so I decided to get as physically fit as I could to give myself the best advantage.

Aortic stenosis and heart failure
An
echocardiogram
shows aortic stenosis. While waiting for a referral he has gone downhill so quickly and was admitted with very low sodium levels cannot walk now . Legs swollen ..doctors say there is a small window of opportunity for op.

Pseudo bi-cusped goes bad!
So my most recent echo cardiogram takes me into the 'severe' stenotic zone and a candidate for aortic valve replacement. I've selected and met my surgeon and valve type so now await a date for this routine op. Dr Google can answer most of my questions apart from when? and how much and long is the sternum

Dizzy vs Lightheaded vs Palpitations
This should be a simple question but it turns out it's more complex. Around 25 years ago I was going through a very stressful time so much so that I was getting heart palpitations, (ectopic heartbeats) and tachycardia. Went to my GP who said it was stress, dealt with the situation and everything went

Shortness of breath better, but chest discomfort that feels like back pain
I eventually went to gp etc, got chest X-rays, blood tests, urine test etc (except for
echocardiogram
) and everything was fine. All docs said it was anxiety, so I accepted it.

Pace maker needed?
I have had an
echocardiogram
test which came back negative, which seems unrealistic given the fact my body is in constant pain, evidently indicating internal damage. Have had fallouts with my gp surgery on a regular basis as they haven't been taking my symptoms seriously.

Back in depression after 12 years happy. WTF
Went for a
echocardiogram
and all is well...healthy heart thankfully. Blood pressure and cholesterol were a bit high and thyroid output was a bit low so I have started to take something for that....allegedly low thyroid can cause depression.

Ramipril
He said the
echocardiogram
I had has shown my heart has weakened slightly but that's normal when you have AF. He has given me Ramipril to address this and says 1.25MG is a really small dose.

Any info
Hello to all. Wondered if anyone has a similar experience. After many many months of tests I have been diagnosed with Asthma. The problem I have is SOB, nothing seems to give me relief, I have had scans both CT and MRI, stress tests, echo cardiogram, Spirometry all results are in the normal range. Yet
