Tardive
dyskinesia
is a real thing and has no cure. I am not about to risk that. This condition is bad enough as it is. I found zero help but a lot of empathy due to the stigma of both FND and Marijuana, combined with the current lack of a formal diagnosis. I was a trifecta of medical NOPE.

Simon and Mucuna Pruriens
I'm pretty disturbed by this as I'm a MP taker and somewhat puzzled as elsewhere he claims that in trials MP has consistently performed much better than CL when it comes to
dyskinesia
. I thought that this was the appeal of MP (in that we are less likely to get
dyskinesia
from it).

Distraction from tremors
I have seen many comments intermingled with discussions of other symptoms like
dyskinesia
and other remedies like meds. I like to think that if I could get better at letting distraction happen, I could reduce tremors while reducing med use. I do not know of side effects from distraction.

Is the levodopa in sinement any different then the levodopa in mucuna?
This may be a stupid question but Is the levodopa in sinement any different then the levodopa in mucuna? one synthetic vs one natural? the levodopa crosses the blood brain barrier with inclusion of carbidopa and the levodopa in mucuna has nothing aiding this transfer thus less reaches the brain (unless

DBS for Non-Tremor PD?
DItto for the C/L (without which I cannot move) Neuro says more L-dopa (I take 6 a day) would worsen the dystonia or bring on a more typical form (outward) of
dyskinesia
. And so the suggestion that I talk with a DBS specialist, sooner rather than later. Am investigating.

Generic world
I haven't seen this addressed before although I'm sure it has been: Generic Drugs. I was diagnosed about 9 years ago and started out on Ropinirole and Carbidopa/Levodopa 50/200. The C/L was generic. I don't believe I have ever taken Sinemet, the name brand. My neurologist gave me several samples

Decision Time
I have been on Azilect since my original diagnosis in March 2015. I exercise regularly. My doctor thinks it is time to introduce levodopa. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on the pros and cons of going on levodopa. Many thanks in advance.

Finally, an explanation of Parkinson's? Very very important article. Retroviruses.
https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2099/12/31/retrovirus.aspx Hope everybody will get a chance to read this. Immensely interesting, it makes great sense to me. Mentions Lyme disease, mentions methylation. Methylation is related to B1. Mentions antivirals that's what amantadine is. Mentions

Increasing Levodopa too quickly?
Posting here as it's so hard to talk to my mums' neurologist. Mum (96) is on Levodopa 125 three times a day and 125 half Sinemet at night. I believe she has been undermedicated for absolutely ages and has terrible drops every day. Neurologist has just given a prescription for 62mg to be added to her
