Dronedarone

Discharged after a day for further observation and prescribed dronedarone 400 mg twice daily. I had prior SVT and was on bisprolol. 2.5mg. I find that the medicines made me fall into depression and anxiety. Has anyone felt the same way?

They have put me on Dronedarone 400mg to help with the at and am still taking 10mg bisoprolol as well so wondering if this is causing the tiredness. The doctors prefer to keep my heart rate on the lower side of normal as they have always had trouble getting my meds right.at min it's between 41-60.

From what I have read it seems most of the side- effects are due to the iodine in the molecule and there is another drug called Dronedarone which has similar structure without the iodine. Has anyone any experience or knowledge of this drug?

Dronedarone and amiodarone had placed me "close to death" two years ago and, I'm a bleed risk so I was only taking 5mg amlodipine. Lifting a small bag of compost I fell but didn't pass out, my face didn't drop and I didn't lose function or consciousnesss.

While I was in hospital they gave me a Warfarin reversal, and stopped all my medication for 4 days, including Flecainide and Dronedarone, with the unsurprising result that I went into AF for 24 hrs, throwing the Nurses and doctors into a panic!

Hi all  I take Dronedarone and have noticed when I take vitamins and in particular vitamin D that it can interfere with the efficacy of the drug. I asked my GP and Pharmacist and they both have said that it shouldn't do so.  I have stopped taking the vitamin D and am back regular again.  

Now I'm being prescribed Dronedarone and am rather cowardly about starting it. Does anyone have experience of this drug or comments about it please? Thanks, Jane

Then in 2013 my AF returned and this time I was put on Dronedarone for approx 6 weeks and again had a successful CV, and I remained in NSR until June 2015.

My cardiologist has now switched me to Dronedarone because it has fewer side effects. I am also still on bisoprolol 1.25mg. Only been on it a few days but I feel terribly tired. Anybody else had experience of Dronedarone? Does the tiredness wear off?

Hi just wondering has anyone been prescribed Dronedarone (Multaq) ? Have been on Amiodarone (Cordarone) for 3 years and Ep has decided to take me off and give me Multaq. Anything I should watch for etc?? Thank you! xxxx

My next one to try is Dronedarone and wondered if anybody has any positive/negative experiences with it?

Oh well another months visit to hospital to have my bloods checked before another repeat perscription of dronedarone tablets there driving me crazy at the moment as they have got sugar lactose in them and I'm taking 800 Mg a day so there not doing me much good can't wait till I get my date wish me luck

The meds are down to 1.25mg bisoprolol and then two lots of 400mg Dronedarone per day.

Please has anyone out there been on Dronedarone ?

Now I have been told its to be Dronedarone but again no information and time is running out. I won't be able to see my GP before as he only works 1 day a week. Can anyone shed the light?

Further tests on this thyroid showed it was drug induced from the amiodarone. a further appointment with the consultant and he has increased my bisoprolol to 15mg dronedarone 400mg morning and night and he has reduced the carbinazole to 20mg.

Hi all its been sometime since I last came on here as I seem to be fairly stable on Dronedarone at the moment. My new worry is that on Monday my 18 year old grandaughter had a bout of palpitations that really frightened her and she felt she was going to pass out.

Hi I am being taken of Flecanide, as had bad issues with my eyes,they are now going to try Dronedarone 400mg, as i have asthma, so have to be careful what i have, i am also on Verapamil 120mg as anyone been on Dronedarone, can anyone advise if this tablet is ok ?

My breakfast was woeful, but I was discharged before 10am and have to continue with the Warfarin/Bisoprolol for 12 weeks, and the Dronedarone for 6 weeks. My guts are right off, I'm tired/cranky but I've had no further bleeds and no major flutters yet.
