Hi
See, for instance, the online side to side tap test at: http://www.parkinsonsmeasurement.org/toolBox/sideToSideTap.htm Sometimes the only way to get the data is to build something, e.g. forced exercise of the arms (using two mixer drills), or to make something, e.g. liposomal

Medications and food to avoid, applies to most of us who has RLS. This is taken from the www.rlshelp.org website..
Reglan (metoclopramide) is an anti-nausea agent that is also used to prevent reflux and has significant anti-
dopamine
activity, so it should be avoided.

DR B REPLIES....... NEUROLOGISTS OUTCOME
You are already on a high dose of Mirapex (Mirapexin) and are developing augmentation (worsening of your RLS from taking a
dopamine
agonist like Mirapex) which means that increasing the dose will only add fuel to the fire.

Azilect and Wellbutrin
I think my husband is in need of an antidepressant and I have read that Wellbutrin is one of the ones that may increase
dopamine
. What other ones are you taking and how are they working for you? Thank you. This community is a blessing and so are all of you.

Dropping in again!
I have to take those for a month and then go back and we will start on the parkinson type
dopamine
drugs. He was very understanding and I think he has been researching stuff since I last saw him. So we will see what happens. Sometimes though I can't see the point of anything.

I wanted to share this infomation, made the pain thing a little more understandable for me
Cramps, contractures, stiffness and rigidity all can usually be treated with a combination of optimal
dopamine
replacement therapy2 and exercise or physical therapy. Central pain syndromes of PD, however, require something more than standard treatments for PD.

Has anyone here tried the herbal dopamine, Mucuna pruriens, and, if so, how much are you taking and how are the results?
I have asked my Park Dr. about it and while she is not informed about it she would not be adverse to my trying it as long as I have been on traditional pharmacuticals first so we would have a basis of comparison. She also said she wants me to purchase herbals and supplements from western Europe as they

A Better Life Without Sugar
Similar to recreational drug use, sugar has been shown to increase brain concentrations of
dopamine
and opiates which have a significant influence on mood.

what should I do?
Went to see the neurologist who decided
dopamine
agonists don't suit me and has referred me to a Parkinson's specialist. in the meantime, he has put me on a low dose of neupro patches,to increase slowly. I feel so stiff, tired and a bit nauseous and my head is swirling.

Ok I dont know if this is a cure but sound pretty helpful So I am passing on this article .
The drug is injected into a region known as the stratium and the drug initially provides needed
dopamine
and then helps the brain cells to start producing their won
dopamine
. One of the 15 patients who are getting the treatment across the globe is Sheila Roy.

Self managing PD - Are we serious or not?
Dopamine
Agonists (DA’s) were generally used to give us more time before the introduction of sinemet / madopar etc. My neuro is a PD specialist. I believe he adopted the correct approach generally.
