Naturally boosting dopamine
So my understanding is that
dopamine
is lower in ADHDer's than most . Is there anyway to boost
dopamine
naturally besides food?

Any gambling problems with Ropinirole
This is my first time posting and I'm curious to find out how many people have been effected by gambling problems associated with Ropinirole ( and other
dopamine
agonists ). My story: I've been on Ropinirole for approximately 18 years.

Dopaminergic deficit in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis assessed with SPECT
A cocaine analogue that selectively binds to the
dopamine
transporter located on dopaminergic nerve terminals showed that striatal IPT binding was moderately but significantly reduced in the ALS group compared with controls.

Are we SURE we want to increase glutathione? Is glutathione related to the glutamate Excitotoxicity that occurs in PD?
glutathione is an important antioxidant but, can it contribute to the glutamate excitoxicity that occurs in PD and is believed to lead to the GABA astrocytes that cause
dopamine
neurons to go dormant? Should we exercise caution in increasing glutathione?

Inositol hexaphosphate: A natural iron chelator that may protect dopamine neurons
I saw this video today: https://youtu.be/2XxfH-VRaB8 I have not figured out the dose. Not sure if you just need phytic acid or phytic acid plus inositol. I found these documents: Inositol hexaphosphate modulates the behavior of macrophages through alteration of gene expression involved in pathways of

Practical Suggestions for PWP. Myopia
As the lucky chosen few to get pd it should be noted that a lot of us will suffer from vision issues as the rods and cones of the eye and other associated muscles succumb to
dopamine
depletion.

Holistic first consultation of RLS sufferers with their doctor and use of intravenous iron therapy
See my discussion on iron therapy and dispelling the ‘fallacious fear of raised ferritin’ (not the sensible scientific care in avoiding iron overload) Discuss treatment options - intravenous iron, alpha 2 delta ligands , opioids and only if absolutely necessary………………

Sometimes it's depends if my food has interfered with pills, and then I'll have to take a muscle relaxant half, I try not to take them, and lately I've been using the Inbrija for when I completely need
dopamine
, and seriously off, especially when I eat protein, I am a meat eater , but it's weird because

Some thoughts on Gluten sensitivity
A brain scan was done on the man that showed abnormalities that were consistent with lower levels of
dopamine
production, which when combined with the clinical data, led the doctor to diagnose him with PD.

News that worried us and studies that gave us hope (04/2022).
It also participates in the synthesis of
dopamine
and glutathione. It also inhibits the aggregation of spontaneous alpha-synuclein and that produced by iron (Golts 2002). Magnesium concentration in Parkinson's patients is low.

Any scientific papers on DAWS (Dopamine Agonist Withdrawal Syndrome) and/or withdrawing off or tapering down dopamine agonists?
Good afternoon everyone. I had an appointment with my neurologist last week and finally convinced her that I should try reducing my Rotigotine (Neupro patch) medication (currently at 4mg). However, I am not happy with her suggestion/recommendation that I just drop down to 3mg patches. I told her that

Dr. Jonathan Sackner-Bernstein - "What If I Discovered the Silver Bullet?" on Zoom at 7.30pm London time on Monday 21st Feb
He published his analysis last summer in the Journal of Parkinson’s disease showing that these critical neurons do not lack
dopamine
– they have excess
dopamine
. This led him to design a clinical trial to test a drug that addresses this newly defined mechanism of disease.

How many of you have found that exercise helps with your movement? How many of you have tried the ''Fast Walking?'How many succeeded?

Then I look at this study: Oral berberine improves brain dopa/
dopamine
levels to ameliorate Parkinson’s disease by regulating gut microbiota 2021 https://www.nature.com/articles/s41392-020-00456-5 and they prescribed humans 500 mg twice a day.
