New to ropinirole

My first time at a new neurologist. He started me on ropinirole 0.25mg 1/day at 7pm. I take 600mg gabapentin at 5pm and 9pm. He convinced me that I don't have CMT but have RLS. My feet are rather numb, and my ankles and shins hurt occasionally. I believe this is peripheral neuropathy, but he did not comment. I got a free sample of Ozempic for blood sugar as I am borderline diabetic.

Anyone have any side effects from ropinirole? I went off pramipexole months ago and am reluctant to take another dopamine agonist.

I would agree. Having gone off pramipexole, why take another dopamine agonist. On the gabapentin, take the 600 mg doses 2 hours apart. Assuming you go to bed at 10 to 11, take the one at 9 and the other at 7 to get the best effect. If you take magnesium, don't take it within 3 hours of taking the gabapentin as it will affect its absorption. Did you ever have your ferritin checked? When did you get the symptoms of numb feet and ankle shins hurting?
