In my years with PLMD, I have taken almost everything, but not
dopamine
agonists. Is it correct that if you start and have success at a low dose -- and never increase it -- that you could avoid augmentation?

Phase III trial for Cerevance’s lead CNS therapy, CVN424, in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
CVN424 is a non-
dopamine
therapy that inhibits G protein-coupled receptor 6 (GPR6), which is an orphan receptor as it has no naturally produced agonist that activates the receptor. The GPR6 inhibition can potentially improve motor and non-motor manifestations of Parkinson’s.

A cross in the sand
It appears that a person with PD has no
dopamine
supply, but it can be stimulated with levadopa, which is a great help. But when there is an abrupt end to the meds, the body goes into stress and manifests dyskinesia which is worsening the original problem.

Pycnogenol® supplementation alleviates symptoms of Parkinson's disease with mild cognitive impairment
Pycnogenol may also influence the release of catecholamines (including
dopamine
and norepinephrine) and nitric oxide synthesis. [/i]Whenever
dopamine
is mentioned I am cautious for my HWP.

Dystonia: WTF?!
This dystonia now, if I’m really low on
dopamine
, attacks my stomach, feet, back muscles, neck - and as I witnessed during my ‘no drugs allowed’ period - my jaw. When this strikes I’m in a truly awful state and need to be rescued with the Madopar that I mentioned above.

Why I pay no attention to studies of PD in mice.
Perhaps the current rodent models of PD would be more predictive of what will translate into human studies if the time course of
dopamine
neuron degeneration could be mimicked and behavioral tests were designed to assess the more subtle symptoms ... ” “… Perhaps one of the most relevant examples … with

What are ‘off’ periods – and how can they impact people with Parkinson’s disease?
“The ‘off’ state can kick in when levodopa is eliminated from our body – and people begin to express motor symptoms that are related to the low amount of
dopamine
going to the brain.”

Could Psychedelics help in Parkinsons Disease treatment?
- Symptom management - Some research indicates psychedelics may protect
dopamine
neurons or stimulate growth of new ones. Reopening plasticity periods could enhance this through combined psychedelic and neurostimulation therapies.

Phenylethylamine is NOT Palmitoylethanolamide! They are both called PEA. I take Palmitoylethanolamide
Another signifi cant observation is that administration of β-PEA to rodents reduces striatal
dopamine
content and induces movement disorders similar to those of parkinsonian rodents. However, no reports are available on the extent of dopaminergic neuronal cell death after administration of β-PEA.

For a good time.... call Dopamine T-shirt
This is a molecule of
Dopamine
resembling a lady. Her face is a benzene ring, her eyebrows and mouth are double bonds, her earrings are hydroxy groups, and the pendant on her necklace is an amine group. The phone number is actually the Chemical Abstracts number for the
dopamine
molecule.

Confusion over Mayo Clinic report
Reading the report, it seems the next recommendation is the nonergot
dopamine
agonists, or the drugs that cause augmentation. Sue Johnson, etc. seem to disagree about this course of action?

Mitochondrial failing due to T3 problems
I have also read that - • Prolonged administration of pharmacological doses of
dopamine
can significantly reduce serum TSH levels and thyroid hormone secretion in normal and critically ill subjects. I have been taking
dopamine
agonists for years.

blood test back - any thoughts?
Also my white blood count came back as much lower (3.6 vs 5 last year) - do any
dopamine
or prefab affect blood results? Just curious about the drop. Thanks as always for all your support in getting this far.

Hi, I am trying to come off the
dopamine
agonist that I have been taking for the past eight years for my RLS, does anybody know if the augmentation I have built up will go when I am clear of the medication, or am I stuck with it for the rest of my life?

Honokiol used as a neuroprotective agent
"These findings suggest that honokiol has protective and curative functions against motor deficits and
dopamine
-responsive progressive impairment in mice with 6-OHDA-induced lesions. This may be due to the modulation of NOS signaling.

Trying out L-dopa supplement
I'm sure that's why Wellbutrin (which is a
dopamine
and norepinephrine agonist) is an antidepressant. Still, I don't think I'm getting enough to help me with the motivation that
dopamine
is supposed to help with.

Kratom anti-depressant, anti-psychotic, anti-anxiety herb!
Serotonin,
Dopamine
, GABA, and Noradreniline. It corrected the imbalance. I remember having a conversation and I wasn't compelled to act on the negative images in my head. I was no longer abscessed. I could focus and reply normaly. Kratom for me with my disorders cured my mental Illnesses.

the curse of lifelong RLS…
Three years ago, at the age of 60, I got to see the professor himself and he advised
Dopamine
Agonists , either Ropinirole or the Rotigotine Patch, despite my ferritin being way below 100 my request for an iron transfusion was refused.
