Ice therapy during chemo?
Getting ready to start six cycles of
docetaxel
in a few weeks. Have been reading about the use of ice mittens, booties and ice skull cap to ward off peripheral neuropathy and hair lose. Does this acutely work?

Post-Docetaxel: Holding Steady
DX 2014: GL9, 3.32 (high Gleason, low PSA; PSA not always a good indicator) Cue the trumpets: Two weeks after my 76-year old husband completed 10
Docetaxel
infusions, his bone and CT scans show that his mets remain stable.

Has anyone taken Opdivo with Docetaxel?
My husband, recently diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic prostate cancer, has been asked to participate in a clinical trial of Opdivo along with chemotherapy (
Docetaxel
) and is concerned about side effects.

Questions to ask at new consult tomorrow AM (and future ones)? Also info on clinical trials? Other MO's you like?
Resistant to
docetaxel
first and then to Xtandi (confirmed by scans). Now on Cabazitaxel plus Neulasta, had 2 treatments. PSA increased (might be flare, might not). No side effects
docetaxel
; miserable on Cabazitaxel. Still on Lupron and Xgeva.

1-year in, now undifferentiated adenocarcinoma, next?
Proposed care plan is
docetaxel
and carboplatin. Two questions if friends can help at all: 1. With this rapid and radical change in my status and care plan it seems that a second opinion could be advisable. Do you agree? If so, any recommendations? 2. Have others been down this road?

Should I have more Chemo now?
So, I finished 6
Docetaxel
sessions 4 weeks ago and as I'm responding to the Chemo, Eligard and Casodex, I'm considering 4 more chemo shots between now and when I have another cystoscopy in 3 months to remove/change my stent.

My dad has advanced cancer
A group of oncologists propose to start chemotherapy with
Docetaxel
and others Abiratirone. One group proposes to attack from the entrance and another to wait and "not burn stages".

Recently diagnosed metastatic
Luckily my local private hospital gave the run of the place over to the nhs cancer centre and I'm safely able to go receive my treatment of 6
docetaxel
, just had round 3 last week and started herceptin + perjeta which I will remain on as long as it's working.

Why am I always cold?
I have recently finished 6
Docetaxel
infusions and have been on Casodex and 3 monthly Eligard shots since January. Before my APC diagnosis, my internal thermostat always ran hot, but now I seems to always be cold.

After two years, My trial has now stopped working
My past history has involved
docetaxel
, radiation, casodex, zytiga-prednisone. My MO wants to start chemo again or another clinical trial combo of Cabozantinib-Atezolizumab. I wish they would come up with easier names of these drugs.

Chemo port leading to emergency. Can we remove it during severe anemia?
After one month we started chemo with
docetaxel
, carboplatin and trastuzumab as suggested by medical oncologist. For the first chemo, she is administered with daunorubicin instead of
docetaxel
. Is this okay?

ROS 1 found in Foundation One liquid biopsy but not their solid biopsy. Anyone had findings in liquid but not solid? Exploring next steps.
As Barry has already failed
docetaxel
and enzalutamide and it looks like Cabazitaxel mightn't be working either, this is important as we're looking at other options. We've gotten varying opinions, I've looked at research, we have a medical consult scheduled Monday.

Final 5-yr Survival analysis in the PREVAIL trial.

In need of advise for my father
The pain returned and the MO suggested
Docetaxel
. He had 6 rounds of
Docetaxel
and the PSA did not go down much, in fact the PCa progressed. The MO then suggested Cabazitaxel, and after a few rounds, it was stopped because the treatment was ineffective.

Zytiga failed, trying chemo+Rubraca
My husband finished chemo a year ago (
Docetaxel
plus carbo platin). Lowest PSA was last Oct/2019 at 3 (down from 588 in Jan 2019). Jan 2020 PSA started rising to 7, then 11, then 25. Started Zytiga in April and PSA continued up to 100, then 105, and now at 250 12 weeks in.

Lu-177-PSMA-617 vs Jevtana (cabazitaxel): which should I do next?
• Should it be used before or soon after
docetaxel
? • Would the problem of heterogeneity be minimized if Jevtana and Lu-177-PSMA were given simultaneously? • Should it be used in minimally metastatic patients? • Should it be used in newly diagnosed metastatic patients?

Chemo failure. What next?
Was walking about reasonably well until after
docetaxel
× 2. Seemed to recover from neutropenia and sepsis. Then got chest infection. Not recovering well. My PSA on diagnosis was 821. It is now down to 3.1. Since diagnosis last September have monthly Degarelix injections. Chemo was stopped.
