More docetaxel than a PARP inhibitor (medical oncologist does Not mention PARPi at all) or do I change hormone therapy Or My medical oncologist seems hot on the throttle to do Lu 177 which with my mutations, may not be a good idea, as not much seems to be known how Lu 177 reacts in men with both

I have read several posts of those who have done docetaxel and done a little research on the Internet and YouTube to try to offset side effects.

Hi All, At the end of August 2023 I completed 8 rounds of docetaxel. On 9/13/23 my PSA was 5.7, 10/30/23 8.25 and 11/27/23 it’s now 16.72. This year has been a shit show. I know my MO will put me on pluvicto. Here’s my quandary: I am a single gay man. Parents gone. No siblings.

- After 6 cycles of chemotherapy with docetaxel and ADT-ELIGARD with PET 2 and PET 3 show a rapid decrease in the size of the lymph nodes and their emission of SUV, as well as the disappearance of several of them, a rapid decrease in the size of the prostate and SUV.

Following on from my post last week about docetaxel not working, I had a frank conversation with my MO during which I said I strongly believe that genetic testing of my liver biopsy sample should be the next step and after some debate, to my surprise, he agreed and has put through the request.

I'm now getting ready for my 3rd Docetaxel infusion. My symptoms and side effects have been very mild. Before chemo started, I was getting pains in the rectal wall, sharp bladder discomfort and pain on urination - along with blood in the urine.

Have had radiation, chemotherapy (Docetaxel) and SBRT to 2 areas (T10 vertebrae & 6th rib) over the years. I had spinal fusion on 7 vertebrae in May 2024 because a compression fracture developed on T10 and surrounding vertebrae after SBRT. What next?

He further said if he had seen me at initial diagnosis, he would have started docetaxel at that time!

Was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer with several mets to the bones and a Gleason score of 10. This was in January 2023. The reason I am writing this is to get an opinion about the Docetaxel treatment. As I mentioned my last one was at March 12th. Should I start up with no.5 as soon as possible or have a break and start from scratch again?

Began triplet therapy in April: Eligard shot every 3 months, Nubequa daily, and 6 rounds of docetaxel. SE's have been mild. I want to an alternative to continuous ADT, whether its IADT, BAT or something else, in hopes of preventing castration resistance. I live on the East Coast of U.S.

I've had sequentially ADT+abiraterone; docetaxel+carboplatin; Pluvicto. PSA never got below 3. Latest CT bone scan shows progression in a few areas. RO will zap the progressing areas locally. MO suggested cabazitaxel (1st choice) or enzalutamide (discouraged because cancer is aggressive).

He was given one infusion of Docetaxel, however, he has been weaned off due to adverse reactions he has had, as his overall condition worsened and he had lot of prolonged mouth sores, with WBCs touching .08 and besides, he just could not sustain the after effects and was similar to in an ICU like condition

He's had 3 treatments of docetaxel. b) Caused by the disease itself? He's had ZERO incidents of this kind of pain so far. His PSA has dropped with the chemo treatments (142 -> 57 -> 47) - wouldn't that possibly correlate to reduced tumor activity and less pain?

Should I also start chemotherapy with docetaxel? And/or should I also start RT for the prostate and the 4 spots in the bones? Would proton therapy be advisable? I will be very grateful for any input.

He has done 14 sessions of the Docetaxel and does not want anymore. He is very weak. I am not sure why the doctor would want to keep him on Docetaxel when it does not appear to be working. Many thanks for any information!

Hi Fellow Warriors, Four weeks ago I finished up 8 rounds of Docetaxel. This year has been a medical shit show: 2 UTIs, pneumonia, Covid, sepsis, sinus infection which became chronic sinusitis, numerous falls with the last fall resulting in a dislocated hip. The good news!

My husband had triple therapy with docetaxel (finished chemo in January), darolutimide, and Firmagon/Lupron.

My father completed 6 courses of docetaxel chemotherapy (last one on 23/05/2023) and he is getting Zoladex injections every 3 months. Last PSA result was 0.89 (14/07/2023).

I have done 10 rounds of Docetaxol, had a PSMA scan which showed progression in a lymph node ( I only have lymph node disease no bone or organ mets.) I started Jevtana and carboplatin about 9 weeks ago. I have what is described as" PSA surge". When I started my psa was 4.4 now 8.3. Has anyone else
