The first cycle of Docetaxel+Zometa+Lucrin .. What should I expect next? PSA went up...
-The First week after treatment was rough… -The first few days , the fatigue, poor appetite and sleep were difficult. Everything tasted bland. -On the 4th and 5th day after the infusion, every single of my bones were aching so badly and your heart was pounding like a drum beat. The headache would not

Dora phase 3 study when zytiga is working
The Dora phase 3 is randomized , either radium 223 with
Docetaxel
or
Docetaxel
alone for 30 weeks . They will need to stop his zytiga before the Dora study . 1. Will zytiga still be very effective after the Dora study ( chemo or chemo with radium223)?

Long Overdue Update
First dose of
docetaxel
started in ICU and he survived to be discharged, wasn’t expected to live six months. 9 rounds of
docetaxel
, taken off my MD Anderson. Nadir was 2.28 I believe. Two months later PSA rising again and Xtandi started. Nadir .78, but after 4 months PSA started rising again.

Update on my Dad: Liver Mets, next steps?
The onco said straight up that he will give my Dad 2 more
docetaxel
treatments and see what happens. If they don't help, he will recommend hospice. I'm just blindsided and kind of lost. My Dad is optimistic, which is good.

Docetaxel or Xtandi
The options presented to me were either Xtandi followed by Provenge if Xtandi is effective, or
Docetaxel
followed by Provenge if the
Docetaxel
is effective.

Enzalutamide With Standard Therapy in Metastatic Prostate Cancer - The New England Journal of Medicine
Docetaxel
-pretreated patients have a higher incidence of adverse events. Further data will need to clarify the optimal sequence and utility of chemotherapy and ADT. -Gautam Jayram, https://www.practiceupdate.com/journalscan/57812/67/11?

PSA has increased.
After
docetaxel
and ADT, two years ago, I had my PSA level <0.04. My last PSA test, one week ago, my PSA is 0.50. Next week I visit my oncologist. May I have to be worried? Which is your experience?

Positive results from chemo (Docetaxel) & some questions
Apart from experiencing fatigue, diarrhea, joint pains for about a week after chemo infusion (
docetaxel
/taxotere), hubby is tolerating it very well. PSA has gone down from 2.2 prior to chemo to 0.65 just before our 5th cycle. He goes swimming, workouts and does infrared sauna almost everyday.

Docetaxel
My first session took me 10 days to the hospital for an important sepsis. The second one I made 8 days ago. The only side effect has been a great fatigue that started on day 3. Today on day 8 it persists. A lot of weakness, fatigue and thick head. It is normal?

Apalutamide for Metastatic Castration-Sensitive Prostate Cancer
The study allowed for previous treatment for localized disease and previous
docetaxel
therapy. The radiographic progression–free survival at 24 months was 68.2% in the apalutamide group and 47.5% in the placebo group (HR for radiographic progression or death, 0.48).

Both apalutamide and enzalutamide succeed for metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) - enzalutamide not for high volume mets
New info presented this morning at ASCO - Enzalutamide (Xtandi) worked best in men with mHSPC with a low volume of mets, and in men who did not plan to have early
docetaxel
(which is probably much the same thing). Apalutamide worked well regardless of high or low volume of mets.

Docetaxel 2 week cycle
Has anyone taken
docetaxel
on a 2 week cycle at 50 mg vs the traditional 3 week cycle at 75 mg? I have read that it has less side effects.

Xtandi for Third Time
After second round of
Docetaxel
/Carboplatin chemo (12 total infusions, 6 per round), we are again rechallenging with Xtandi. Had it first back in 2016 for about 12 months until cancer found a workaround. In early 2018 after chemo, Xtandi rechallenge brought PSA down from 1.3 to .7 for 4 months.

Has anyone taken Docetaxel
Has anyone taken
docetaxel
? And what where the effects? And do you take it on its own or with something else? It seems that a clinical trial was done in vitro with
docetaxel
and curcumin which showed that the tumor was shrinking more with curcumin added.

What to Ask?
He’s done
Docetaxel
, he’s on Lupron and is currently failing Xtandi. What to ask for next steps? We are trying to go on a clinical trial at UCSF but things are moving slowly.

Clinical Implications of New Data on Apalutamide + ADT in Castrate-Sensitive Prostate Cancer
