rising PSA and 'light' advancement of mets in hip bones. Diagnosed stage 4 in March 2021.
George at Duke March of 2023 and he had my husband on a round of
docetaxel
. After that the many bone mets and some on lungs 'disappeared'. Now it looks like they are starting to grow back. The PSA is not yet doubling since a couple months ago, but it's on the rise. Dr.

Cabazitaxel - memory issues?
I had some "normal" transient "brain fog" at age 66 with
docetaxel
. My memory is as good as it was decades ago. I don't see anything online about cabazitaxel causing memory issues beyond the usual "brain fog" that is temporary.

Now what? Second go-around of docetaxel not responding.
Took 6 rounds of
docetaxel
followed by ongoing Lupron injections and then 3 years of Zytiga. PSA was driven down to 2.0 from 76 with 1st 6 rounds of
docetaxel
. Zytiga drove PSA down again to 3.0 from 14. PSA began rising early this year from 7.5 in January to 36 in June.

Triplet and now Radiation?
Just completed 6 sessions of chemo with
Docetaxel
. Got call from RO yesterday and they want to do radiation now. Of course I trust my medical team but curious of HU opinions on this path.

Docetaxel - how many rounds did you have?
Our oncologist has had people on
Docetaxel
for a year and a half. I'm wondering how long we might expect this treatment to be doable. Thanks, guys and gals - I read these posts daily and pray for you often.

No more enzalutamide: docetaxel next up
Also got a new lesion in my thoracic spine so in addition to
docetaxel
, a single dose of radiotherapy. Hope that will all be underway within a couple of weeks. Some fear for a while about the meds not working and progression but feeling more confident about the treatment plan now thankfully.

Hair Loss
My husband (David) is beginning to lose some of his hair from Chemo treatment do all patients lose their hair on
docetaxel
(taxotere). It is falling out in a lot of strains when he showers. Do all patients on this chemo lose all their hair or does it just get thinner.

Next step options after lupron/zytiga failed
My MO is recommending chemo (Lupron +
Docetaxel
/Taxotere) as the next step. He also suggested talking with a radiation oncologist since it appears that those 2 spots may be the cause of my PSA rising and the disease progression. But I am worried about collateral damage from the radiation.

Drug Holidays?
Tried
docetaxel
chemo two weeks ago and lasted 7cc/2mins. Horrible reaction that docs say was not allergic given my vitals and they don't know what it was. I guess <5% have a similar reaction. Taxanes are out for now. So, standing on two legs of the triplet therapy stool, with good results!

Has anyone heard of trial DB-1311-O-1001?
We have tried pretty much everything over the last 6 years, ADT,
docetaxel
, Zytiga, radiation, keytruda (ended badly with severe pneumonitis), Xtandi and recently just timed out on Cabazitaxel. We through whatever “herbs and spices” we can at it too when there are no contraindications.

Doctor said obviously the
Docetaxel
did work some but not enough. Next treatment will be Pluvicto. My husband had his first chemo treatment of 275ml
Docetaxel
(Taxotere) on 1/11/24 and his 6th and last treatment 4/21/24. My husband had his PSMA PET/CT last week and overall it was good.

PSA still undetectable and testosterone doubles to 1.6
Appreciate in December 20 I had bone mets popping up everywhere pre all my treatments so Soc is ADT for life but my treatment pathway wasn’t Soc ( early Lu-177 x 3 plus 3
Docetaxel
, 20 Vmat sessions. 2 brachitherapy. 3 SBRT to more stubborn mets and the OVM 200 vaccine on trial).
