No benefit of adding docetaxel to ADT+RT in treating localized high-risk or pelvic lymph node only (N1) newly-diagnosed patients
I updated this with the most recent STAMPEDE trial of adding
docetaxel
to ADT in what they call "high-risk" patients. https://www.prostatecancer.news/2016/08/

looking for treatment advice
He completed 6
docetaxel
treatments in April. PSA has slowly gone from almost 7000 to 4 since last diagnosis last September. So far it is still slowly dropping each month but no where near undetectable. He has done well on all treatments thus far and feels good except for the fatigue.

Rezvilutamide: new anti-androgen is better than Casodex added to ADT for newly diagnosed high-met HSPC. But is field too crowded?
With Zytiga (abiraterone), Xtandi (enzalutamide), and Erleada (apalutamide) and
docetaxel
already approved for this purpose, I don't know whether Jiangsu Hengrui will be able to make significant inroads into the market, unless they are able to compete on price.

3 Years After Stage IV Diagnosis
Then he did chemotherapy (
Docetaxel
) along with an immunotherapy drug as part of a Phase 2 clinical trial. He did infusions of the immunotherapy drug (Opdivo) for 8 months and then was pulled out of the trial because of adverse side effects.

Does Cabazitaxel decrease quality of life?
Proceeded with Lupron (still receiving quarterly injections), - course of
Docetaxel
(brought PSA down to 0), Rad-223 (also very helpful), Xtandi (heavy side effects, stopped pills as no significant impact to PSA), second round of
Docetaxel

provenge in the metastatic hormone sensitive PCa patient
Considering all options for whilst PSA now undetectable ( third month) on ADT and Apa combo following Lu-177,
Docetaxel
, SBRT, 20 x VMAT aNd 2 x Brachi in 7 months aware of micromet If i do get a reoccurrence and I’ll know it was just being hormone suppressed and the cancer as ever has won v the hormones

Lutetium treatment in Turkey - Anadolu Clinic
In December 2021 I went on chemo with
docetaxel
here in Cyprus, completing that in April 2022. PSA fell from about 60 to 9 but then began rising, and was just under 29 when I went to Anadolu earlier this month. The Gallium PET scans at Anadolu show no sign of spread to bones.

getting Taxotere in 1 Month, curious about the effects of it.
He's scheduled to get
Docetaxel
(Taxotere)
in a month. I was wondering what are the side effects & how I can help manage them if any. Also any advice, insight, or similar stories would also be greatly appreciated. Anyone who's fighting the fight, wishing you the best of luck!

Testosterone - How low can it go?
Plan was to follow PEACE-1: Lupron, abiraterone & 6 rounds of
docetaxel
. Had to stop abiraterone first for irreg. heartbeat & then right before starting chemo as bilirubin went way up. Since chemo is hard on the liver, abiraterone is on hold til done chemo.

Low WBC at 7 weeks after final chemo - anyone experience this?
I'm on Lupron (since May, 2022) and finished my 6th round of chemo (
docetaxel
) about 7 weeks ago. Got Neulasta the day after each round and counts came back nicely, except after the last (6th). One week after last chemo, my WBC was 3.1.

Anybody have there psa go up after inital treatment with docetaxel and then respond positively on a follow-up treatment?
He had done
Docetaxel
, Arbiratarone, clinical trail combo, Cabaziotaxal/immunotherapy/study drug, Zytiga and now retrying
Docetaxel
(had one dose while in hospital for dic). Doctor indicated that PSMA treatment was the last conventional option available to my dad.

Pivot. And pivot again. Scheduled for Pluvicto on 8/25 at Banner Gateway in Gilbert, AZ
He wasn't given carboplatin and neulasta with his last
docetaxel
. The
docetaxel
was a reduced dose. Hoping his blood counts improve with these changes. Labs are scheduled the 17th. Has anyone experienced low blood counts that improved after discontinuing carboplatin?

Taxotere vs Zytiga
On to my new question, when I saw my MO last week, we discussed me going on Taxotere/
Docetaxel
. Later that afternoon my MO called me and said I did well on Erleada/apalutamide until it started making me dizzy all the time. With that in mind, my MO wants to put me on Zytiga instead.

what are the best time to apply darolutamide?
We immediately arranged Zoladex and started the first
Docetaxel
in July. PSA drop back to 4 and we processed to second Chemo. However, with some slight fever at 38.5 treatment with antibiotic we postponed the third Chemo for 3 weeks.

Starting Docetaxel when D-dimmer is high
Dear all, My father failed Zytiga and is scheduled to get first round of
Docetaxel
chemo. Unfortunately the doctors mentioned that he should start taking chemo when his d-dimmer test fails below 250. Currently it is 1500.

Jevtana stopped working. Considering Nubeqa
Started lupron and
docetaxel
. Brought psa down from 14.7 to .08. Also apparently dried up most Mets. Psa started to rise and started zytiga, which souped working in 3 months. Started Xtandi, which didn't work at all. Started Jevtana in March. Worked for 5 treatments. PSA down to .89.
