Why no procedure?

Hi, I have constant AF and have been on 20mg bisoprolol and 10 mg digoxin for several years. I have however recently been taken off digoxin which has left my heart rate higher than the acceptable rate. I have as a result had my bisoprolol disease increased to 22.5mg daily and was wandering is this considered

What is an AF episode? Please describe yours and how you know.
I have PAF , its under control with digoxin, I read the extremely useful post about AF triggers and it made me wonder about what mine are. But I dont know as I am unsure if I have episodes now? (Is this possible?) Before I was diagnosed I know I had palpitations every night in bed before sleep but thought

surgery for a blood clot in the heart.
I am now waiting for surgery to remove a blood clot in my heart and the surgeon has said he will ablate at the same time. Then my blood pressure went off the scale and I think I am developing heart failure. My GP is no good to change my BP medication as I end up with terrible side effects. I am now

Update
I previously posted about my Bisoprolol being increased to help breathlessness when in fact it made it worse. Two weeks ago I went to the surgery for a blood test. Got half way across the car park and suddenly couldn't get any breath. This got worse and worse so the Drs called an ambulance and I was

Totally fatigued
Hi. Wondering if someone can help. Recent visit to cardiologist/EP saw me receiving two meds....rivaroxaban and digoxin. I was already on flecainide. Now I am utterly totally exhausted all the time. I am scheduled for an ablation 2 November. I feel I will be so weak and wilted that I won't be able

New AF sufferer
Hi I am new here. I was diagnosed with AF after suffering a fall. It was a shock at first but now on reflection there had been tell tale signs e.g. Shortage of breath and night sweats etc. Since January my meds have increased. I am now taking Bisoprolol 10mg, Rivaroxaban, candersartan, digoxin and diuretic

Bisoporol etc.
My first post. I've been aware of afib for 4 years now. I'm taking 10mg of Bisoporol , 125 micro grams of digoxin and 15 mg of rivaroxaban. In the last few weeks I've fainted once and have felt light headed and unsteady a lot. Dr. has been noncommittal. Likely blood pressure! I've requested a referral

Newbie
I've just joined so hi to you all. I'm 45 and have suffered with paroxysmal AF for a year, it has put me in A&E five times this year so I opted for a cryo ablation under GA which I had on 1-9-17 at Harefield. The doc said it went well and I have around an 80% chance of success of getting rid of it.

Digoxin side effects
Hi I am in permanent AF but don't feel symptoms because of meds On very low dose of digoxin, 6.25 mcg , Diltiazem 360 mgs and xarelto daily. I was wondering if anyone on any of these especially digoxin has loose stools, more like diarrhea several times a day. I am 77 and these meds seem to keep my

Rant warning! I take Digoxin, Bisoprolol, Rivaroxaban and Levothyroxine - the latter because Amiodarone messed my thyroid up. I have annual liver, kidney and thyroid tests plus Digoxin level test. Last week I had the first three tests but the phlebotomist at the surgery had no instruction to do the

I was diagnosed I think with AF in March, spent three nights in hospital after being rushed in and highly medicated on arrival. I am asymptomatic and had no idea, I went to see my GPdue to having a cough that had lasted for months who checked my HTC and it was 170. I am prescribed bisoporol and digoxin

ivabradine
Does anyone take ivabradine? I am currently on Losartan, Spironolactone, Furosemide and Rivaroxaban. I was on Digoxin which I tolerated well as I can't take bisoprolol. I have researched it and wonder if anyone has suffered the side affects. Just interested as sometimes I do wonder 'why' this or that

Ivabradine or not?
Does anyone take ivabradine? It has been suggested I take it as my resting heart rate has been around 80 - 92 recently. I have heart failure diagnosis and can't take beta blockers. I was previously on Digoxin which I tolerated well - not sure as to why this was not suggested again. would like to know

Post-ablation catch-up
Hi I thought it might be helpful to update my post-ablation experience. Two weeks after ablation at Barts (on June 30) my AF returned (120 bpm). My GP doubled my dose of Sotalol to 160 mg a day. Later my EP tripled it to 240 mg. My cardiac nurse added a small dose of Digoxin. All this has had little
