Warfarin results and af meds
I am currently taking warfarin for mechanical heart valve replacement and have developed AF persistent since having a mallory weiss tear in dec. I had my meds changed last week for the af to bisoprolol and digoxin. Just had warfarin check and its jumped up quite high could this be as a result of changing

AF, heart failure and Digoxin
Hi, I started with AF in my mid thirties, I am now 60, and in 2013 was diagnosed with heart failure through mild left ventricular impairment due to right ventricular pacing (I am on my second pacemaker) and 2 leaking Valves. After the HF diagnosis I was put on Bisoprolol and ramipril, and kept on Digoxin

New sufferer of AF
I have recently been diagnosed with AF. I have had four attacks so far and find them very frightening, a couple lasting up to 17 hours. My medication is Bisoprolol, Atenalol, Apixaban and Digoxin. Does anyone taking Digoxin find it makes them feel jittery. I have tried taking it at night, but then

Dental med's query
I will be having a root canal and crown done in a few weeks. As someone with either persistent? or permanent? AF for the last year, I wonder if there are any drugs the dentist might use ( primarily for freezing) that might be contraindicated with my current meds - digoxin and metoprolol. I realize

Permanent AF
I have recently come out of hospital where I developed AF after a mallory weiss tear with complications due to warfarin. My heart rate goes all over the place as low as 50 as high as 170/180. I was taking 1.25 bisoprolol and digoxin 0.065 lowest dose. I stopped taking bisoprolol as I had no energy at

Ramipril
ok I have seen my consultant. He said the echocardiogram I had has shown my heart has weakened slightly but that's normal when you have AF. He has given me Ramipril to address this and says 1.25MG is a really small dose. They are going to cardio avert me but instead of keeping me on digoxin they are

Possible ablation pending
Hi all. Been suffering from AF for over a year but just discovered this forum so this is my AF story and my first request for advice/information (I’ve been reading posts for a couple of weeks and have learnt a lot). Had a stroke 3.5 years ago which was subsequently blamed on paroxysmal AF – I had palpations

Pacemaker - and no further forward
Hi all, It's been a few months since I last posted, having suffered with this lousy PAF condition which frankly after 8 or so years just seems to ever so slowly destroy my life. Whilst I’m not in favour of ablation for many varied reasons most of which my cardiologist agree with, a few months ago

Digoxin. AF. Bisoprolol
Hi I came off digoxin around six to eight weeks ago as my doc said she wasn't a fan of the drug and would rather increase my daily dose of bisoprolol and take me off digoxin altogether. I have not noticed any deterioration in my AF symptoms since stopping the digoxin but I have noticed my weight has

AF diagnosis and medication. Doing what is best for "You."
My AF started with pneumonia last Christmas. Since then I had one Cardioversion that lasted 2 days; an NHS cardiologist who would request a test and forget that I had done it since my last visit and someone that didn't always know my true status or even what medication I was sometimes taking. Also, sending

Elderly mom having difficulty getting accurate pulse reading prior to taking Digoxin
Re-My 92 year old Mom who has A fib and takes warfarin and digoxin. She is supposed to take her pulse prior to taking her digoxin and if it is below 60 she is not to take it. Lately she has not been able to accurately do a manual reading so we have been trying an oximeter. Her reading is always fluctuating

Very tired person
I am new to foram. Been diagnosed with AF caused by serious infection. I am digoxin andapixiban. This happened in July. I also have problems with gallstones. I am very tired and find it difficult to exercise, which I enjoyed previously. Idontknow if the medication causes the problems or the disease.

Digoxin long term
This is such a great site when you forget to ask your cardio a question and your next visit is next year. Plus thanks to all the volunteers. I have a query which I'm sure has been covered previously, but . . . . has anyone been on Digoxin long term ie several years or more? I have tried to get off
