Dermovate

BUT my Lichen Schlerosus is flaring and very uncomfortable (using Dermovate). Should I leave any further tapering until, hopefully, the LS calms down? I'm so disappointed as I was sure I was finally making progress! Thanks in advance for any advice/tips.

Has anyone suffered with skin rash on hydroxycarbamide? My consultant says it’s not related but I’ve only had since being on hydroxycarbamide red rash on forehead and patchy dry itchy skin on my body I’ve had Eumovate and Daktacort but it doesn’t really do anything be interested to know if anyone else

Treatment is dermovate mixed with propylene glycol. There’s some indication online that this condition is associated with Hypothyroidism. Hopefully this might help someone suffering and also if anyone has experience of this I would be keen to hear your experiences.

I stopped taking my 2 or 3 a day 4mg Piriton about two weeks ago to see if my brain fog might improve. But within a week I had a major outbreak of Psoriasis rash on some of my torso and upper thighs. He has taken swabs and prescribed Dermovate ointment and Lymecycline antibiotics for a month. Also a shower wash.

I do dermovate everyday now, later I will start every other day. The doctor told me it is the strongest I can do as topical treatment, but there are other options with tables for instance way stronger and with better results but with stronger side effect.

I apply Dermovate lotion but what worries me more is that I’m sure my eyebrows and eyelashes ( my best feature) are affected. Has anyone else had this? Thank you x

I’m a 62 year old male and I’ve been diagnosed with a scarring of the tissues over my glans.... I’m taking Eumovate cream ( clobetasone butyrate) anyone had any experience of this cream before? Thinking about circumcision too

I have really bad allergic eczema on hands and fingers and have been prescribed a topical steroid - Dermovate Ointment. As it contains sugary-type substances I wonder if it might be causing an increase in the blood-sugar skin-prick tests I do for my Type 2 diabetes daily?

I had similar on the palms of my hands which I had Dermovate cream for (which was useless). I tried that cream on my foot and it burnt throught layers of my skin and spread the patches. My periods were pretty regular at this point.

I have also been told to use Dermovate cream on the lesions. Be lovely to hear from anyone who suffers similarly (particularly women like myself as I feel there is little help from the male consultants with regards to female alopecia). Thank you :)

Hi all, I’m now a month into my treatment with Dermovate following my diagnoses of lichen Sclerosus. Nothing has changed really for me, I’ve still got some redness on the glans skin around the meatus and some further redness down the glans towards the coronal sulcus.

He has prescribed me with Dermovate (Clobetasol) ointment to use twice daily for a month. He gives me around a 70% chance of putting the disease into remission with the steroid ointment and avoiding circumcision. He has basically said that if this doesn’t work, a circumcision will cure my LS.

And gradually it spread from my right foot going to the right.. checked with my gp and took a test if its a fungal infection.. came out negative.. gave me dermovate it didnt help. Right now im just putting glysolid cream on my feet..

Help please UPDATE: been seen by a doctor today been given Dermovate cream/clobetasol propionate been told I have scar tissue and to take the cream every day for 4 weeks if no joy will be referred to a urologist. This cream is very potent.

I am using dermovate gel but spoke to a new dermatologist today over the phone, as the other one has left and he has suggested another biopsy and mentioned possible discoid lupus?

I've tried dermovate but nothing is keeping it down whilst they look like they work the first day by day two the creams no longer work :( I recently purchased aveeno and after couple weeks use I saw improvement but again its not going. I'm really self conscious about it.
