LPP Lichen Plano Pilaris, strong treatment and pregnancy

Hi all,

is some of you affected by Lichen plano pilaris since long time?

I have recently received the diagnoses and I know it cannot be cured and the hair that are gone are gone, but has anyone been able to maintain the hair at the same stage of when the treatment has started?

I do dermovate everyday now, later I will start every other day.

The doctor told me it is the strongest I can do as topical treatment, but there are other options with tables for instance way stronger and with better results but with stronger side effect. Is some of you under tables/blood medication? any better results/bad side effect to tell?

I would like to have a pregnancy in the early future and again the doctor said I should not start anything "strong" if sooner or later I would like to have a child.

To try strongest treatment later, but of course it means starting in 1 year with unknown quantity of hair (if any) on my head ... I keep seeing my scalp getting out more and more every day.

Anyone in the same situation?

Yes I have LPP and currently using dermovate twice a week. My hair has also become very thin. I have a wig and wear a lot of soft caps. It is only when I am alone that I leave my head uncovered.

I hope you will be able to wait to use tablets so that you can have a family of your own.
