Ectopics/Possible Afib
Hi, hoping for some advice please. Was on PIP Bisoprolol 1.25mg for SVT and ectopics until cancer diagnosis in 2019, when I started taking Bisoprolol 1.25mg daily on doctor's insistence, upped to 2.5mg a year ago. Paroxysmal AF getting worse
I was diagnosed with PAF last spring and put on bisoprolol plus a blood thinner. The dosage of bisoprolol has since crept up to the maximum 10mg per day as the PAF has become more frequent and longer lasting. I have been struggling to get my GP to get me an appt with cardiology for a meds review and/

My urologist changed my eligard injections to Trelstar without my knowledge. It was given subq instead of IM as prescribed. Is that a problem?

Atrial Tachycardia
After two temporarily successful cardioversions (6 months af free each time) I had an ablation in May and all seemed to be going well. I remained happily in sinus rhythm for over three months until suddenly, out of the blue, my heart rate and blood pressure rocketed and I ended up in the Resus Department

ICD's
Hi everyone, I've been waiting for a ICD fitted for over six months now and every time I call to ask for a date the hospital just says they will let me know but nothing happens so I was just wondering if anyone knew what the average waiting time is for this procedure

is there a cardiac uniform at all?
I was called Iron Man by my son after I had the ICD fitted. He’s into his Marvel universe but it stuck in my head. Each time I attend a hospital appointment I wear my Iron Man T-shirt. It’s become something of a uniform for me. makes me feel better in places full of ill people.

My Story and I'm thinking someone can relate?
My AFIB story goes back several years. It first began back in 2008. I had been having "spells" that were mild and usually went away with rest. But then that stopped working and I ended up at a cardiologist's office. They did a chemically induced stress test and placed me on Betapace and diltiazem.

Slow pulse
Hi Folks, I've just been for my second part of the heart stress test as the consultant wanted to know if I could take flecainide whilst I wait for my appointment to get another ablation. The resting test was last week but today I was told (after the canula had gone in) that my pulse was too low.

Wrist blood pressure monitor
Hi all. I'm looking to buying a wrist blood pressure monitor. I was diagnosed with atrial flutter and had an ablation in May of this year and also have an irregular heartbeat which the EP says is normal for me. If you use a wrist monitor and can recommend a particular one that would be appreciated.

My cardiologist’s instructions on taking beta blockers
I’m in persistent AFib and awaiting my 2nd cardioversion. I too was only taking my beta blocker when my heart rate was raised significantly. WRONG! said the Cardiologist last week (he seemed exasperated) . Take it as prescribed because it will gradually build up a mechanism in your system which is working

can you help me
Hello everyone. I am reaching out because I need some help. I was diagnosed with Afib a month ago. I was given a prescription for Apixiban, which I take 2 x daily and also Metoprolo - to take as needed. I had to take the Metoprolo yesterday because my heart went up to 135 and was also irregular.

Bisoprolol
I have been on Bisoprolol 2,5mg for 10 years and during this time have been in Afib fairly regularly every 6 or so weeks. It usually lasts 12 - 24hours and then converts to NSR. In May I had Covid, and had 3 separate bouts of Afib within a period of approx 10 days. I increased the dosage to 5mg daily

What would you do?
i have occasional bouts of Afib, i guess a couple a year which is not too bad comparing my problem to others. What's worst is my sleeping patterns, very erratic and disrupted. I asked my doctor for somthing to relax me and help me cope at night. Now here's the thing, i am on 80mg of Sotolol twice a day

Stopping Amiodarone Because of Side-Effects
Hi all, just wanted to share this with the group in case anyone else has had a similar experience. I have been taking Amiodarone since my last(yes, I've had 2!) cardiac arrest in Christmas 2019, with no obvious side-effect apart from burning easily in the sunshine. However, around 6 weeks ago

Mitral valve prolapse, regurgitation, annular disjunction & fibrosis
Hi, I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse 3years ago after being admitted to hospital with an arythmia and heart failure (dilated cardiomyopathy) with an EF of 30%. With medication, my EF improved to normal (58%).A subsequent MRI showed a small scar in the inferior lateral wall. At the time, they
