Bisoprolol
I have been on Bisoprolol 2,5mg for 10 years and during this time have been in Afib fairly regularly every 6 or so weeks. It usually lasts 12 - 24hours and then converts to NSR. In May I had Covid, and had 3 separate bouts of Afib within a period of approx 10 days. I increased the dosage to 5mg daily

What would you do?
i have occasional bouts of Afib, i guess a couple a year which is not too bad comparing my problem to others. What's worst is my sleeping patterns, very erratic and disrupted. I asked my doctor for somthing to relax me and help me cope at night. Now here's the thing, i am on 80mg of Sotolol twice a day

Stopping Amiodarone Because of Side-Effects
Hi all, just wanted to share this with the group in case anyone else has had a similar experience. I have been taking Amiodarone since my last(yes, I've had 2!) cardiac arrest in Christmas 2019, with no obvious side-effect apart from burning easily in the sunshine. However, around 6 weeks ago

Cardiac Care
Hi there ! Is everyone with A/F supposed to have access to have a cardiologist or access to an A/F nurse? I was diagnosed with A/F in 2011 and have not seen a cardiologist since. I paid for a private consultation with an EP who was keen for an ablation - I was not at that time - and I haven’t

Mitral valve prolapse, regurgitation, annular disjunction & fibrosis
Hi, I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse 3years ago after being admitted to hospital with an arythmia and heart failure (dilated cardiomyopathy) with an EF of 30%. With medication, my EF improved to normal (58%).A subsequent MRI showed a small scar in the inferior lateral wall. At the time, they

Update
I diagnosed with Flutter end of June 22 after a couple of trips to A&E. prescribed Edoxaban 30mg with Bisosporol 2.5 daily reduced to 1.25 mg daily as I already have low BP. Episodes of possible Flutter are happening at least once a week. I do have etopics apparently and one ECG showed narrow tachycardia

nefopam and acute angle closure glaucoma
Hello, I am a health care worker and I have just been diagnosed with arthritis in my hips. My gp has just prescribed nefopam and since starting them I have not been able to sleep. I have acute glaucoma and I am worried that taking this medication might damage my eyesight further. Has anyone else had

Unusual AF episode
I went out to post a letter this afternoon and was out for about 15 minutes. On my return I experienced what I thought were ectopics with some very mild chest discomfort. I took a 1lead Kardia to check and was surprised to see the "Atrial Fibrillation" indication with a heart rate of 93bpm. The AF

Stroke risk overstated for healthy people with AFib?
I am not on an anti-coagulant, and was trying to find out what the actual risk of stroke is. There's another afib forum called afibbers.org whose leaders don't believe that otherwise healthy afibbers need anti-coagulants, and that the 5X stroke risk that is cited really only applies to older people

My first cardioversion. Couple of questions. Thanks.
Oct 10 having a cardioversion for Atrial Flutter. Its been bothering me for about 2 years. Fairly well controlled with • DilTIAZem (Eqv-Tiazac) 180 mg/24 hours oral capsule, extended release but still feel extremely fatigued sometimes so I am finally going to take the cardiologists recommendation.

A tale of caution.
My FIL, whom also has AFIB, was recently switched from warfarin to xeralto. He did not tolerate it well, so while waiting for a Dr. appt to find something easier, he decided...without informing anyone, to reduce the dosage by half. Bad idea. He suffered an ocular stroke and has lost the sight in his
