DNMT1-mediated epigenetic silencing of TRAF6 promotes prostate cancer tumorigenesis and metastasis by enhancing EZH2 stability

decitabine
(an FDA-approved drug) is an appealing treatment strategy for CRPC patients through epigenetic suppression of both DNMT1-mediated DNA methylation and EZH2-modulated histone methylation."

low platelets and haemoglobin - treatment off
howdy! Quick question. I’m on gemcitabine - I/v chemo. My latest bloods show haemoglobin and platelets too low to treat. Again. So I’m back in the wings, until they rise. So frustrating. has anyone else experienced this.? How did you get them back up? And how long did it take?

Update.
Morning ladies, it's been a while since I posted, last time I was in a really bad place , I'm stronger mentally but not great physically. I'm not long home from hospital, where they drained off 6.2 litres of asitis fluid, thank goodness my Macmillan nurse stepped in and got me admitted, GP was treating

Need advice re: Stomach pains and Acid Reflux after eating?
Hello ladies, I hope you are all keeping as well as possible. I wondered if anyone could give me some advice please? I had chemotherapy and de-bulking surgery 18 months ago and then took Avastin (Bevacizumab) for 1 year maintenance afterwards and my CA125 levels came down to normal for 1 year.

Fistula
Hi ladies, has anyone had a similar experience to me. I started 3rd line chemo carbo/ gemcitabine in mid April. Within 36 hours or so I started to have horrible abdominal pain. I went to A&E as advised by oncology helpline and they gave me pain killers. A week later I was admitted to hospital. CT scan

Gemcitabine vs Topotecan
Hi all Was wondering if anyone had opinions or experience of whether Gemcitabine or Topotecan have advantages/disadvantages over each other? Either would be given together with Avastin on a weekly basis. My wife has been in discussions with our onc due to her High grade serous BRCA -ve recurrence

Reply to jersey-jazz. I thought you might also be interested in my medical history.
If you don’t mind to read a long story, I would love to provide more details. I moved to US since 2000. I worked here and had insurance all the time but never think about to use it since I always think myself as a healthy person. My first diagnosed DCIS on 2012 was in Taiwan when I went back to visit

Scan update
Hello all. I thought I'd write this post as an update and see if anyone has any advice, I really do find the advice given here valuable. Susie had two scans, a 3t brain MRI with contrast and a chest CT. The brain scan showed stable large cystic tumor (it's large, I've shared a pic) and the other small

Hello, I'm new to this forum. Does anyone have experience of EP0057? With or without olaparib?
Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with Stage 3/4 ovarian cancer early in 2018. It was carboplatin sensitive, and I've now had two rounds of carboplatin (first with paclitaxel and then with doxorubicin), interspersed with bevacizumab, then olaparib. Unfortunately, it's back again. I now have a choice of

Triple negative breast cancer with bone only mets
Anyone else out there with TNBC and oligometastatic bone Mets? What treatment did you get? I had 3 x stereotactic radiation and now nothing. Doctor says I have no “measurable disease “ so not eligible for any trials. Originally had 4 x TC chemo + double mastectomy and then 6 x gemcitabine + carboplatin
