Cytomel

I had my 6 month Endo appointment via the video chat i’m (not a fan) anyway he agreed to up my medication by 50mcg per week (currently) on 100mcg Synthyroid per day along with 10mcg Cytomel ....

My endo says that Levothyroxine/ synthroid 50 mcg taken in the am @ 7 am should not effect my labs and to skip Liithyronine/ cytomel 5 mg till after the test. Usually I have my blood tested @3 pm after 8 hours of taking meds.

Can someone please give an overview of the current T3 (cytomel) situation, please? My usual website is sold out and another has stated no shipment until February 2021. Wtf! V

Of Cytomel- T3 for 4 days. On the 5th day I had a bad reaction with brain fog and stomach issues. I stopped taking the low dosage Cytomel.

It’s been 9 months now since I’ve been off cytomel, I am only on a quarter grain of Nature-throid and I take 5 of the 13 mcg of Tirosint a day. It’s been 3 months and my hair continues to fall, none of it is growing back nor are my eyelashes.

Currently I'm on 100mcg synthyroid and 10mcg cytomel. Current Supplements: D3 (5000iu) K2 (75mg) and 420mg magnesium citrate and B-12 complex recommended from here.

So now I am trying to balance new meds- Euthyrox T4and Cytomel T3. My blood test now shows that I have a normal T4- 14 a very low TSH of less than .01 and a low T3 at 1.2. It is clear that my body doesn’t make enough T3 or maybe not at all.

I currently take 100mcg Synthyroid and 10mcg Cytomel. I had a blood test done back in February it was a (surprise) blood test that took place 2 hours after I had taken my last dose of Synthyroid and Cytomel. I’m scheduled to retest again but it WON’T include FT3 (don’t ask) Endos just stink!

The same applies to liothyronine (Cytomel). Both of the medications were ordered correctly by Dr. Ball. Best, Kathy

After 18 days I stopped taking 5mcg of Liothyronine bc I was having all kinds of side effects (hyper like) of taking to much and it was all day/evening long. I was also taking 150mcg compounded levo and this wasn’t reduced. Doc rx’d Liothyronine bc tt3 was one point under range (but would be in range

Took my levothyroxine 30 mcg and cytomel 5 mcg at 7 am, blood test at 2:30 pm. My triglycerides little high, slight anemic. Tsh is very low 0.12 range- 0.40-4.50. Dr suggest cutting back on cytomel to half. I plan to take cytomel 5 mcg for days only and skip 3 days a week. Any suggestions please.

Does anyone have a supplier of Cytomel, Cynomel, Tiromel into the UK they could PM me? Anything but what I'm on now! I'd really appreciate it. I'll have to up my dose for now and get more serious about supplementing again.

About 8 months ago, Doctor took me from NP thyroid on to tirosint and cytomel (liothyronine). I felt absolutely amazing for the first couple of months. I had energy to do errands, work and get things done. All of a sudden a few months in, I started feeling horrible panic attacks and anxiety.

I just feel awful ache all over and fuzzy head confusion mad dreams ( when I get to sleep) keep waking up every 1 1/2 all night. also my skin breaks out and mentally I don't feel great. I was getting neo-cytamen injection every 3 months some times a little less than 3 months now Doctor wants to give

I was on Levo, for years and felt like crap until my doctor in Boston provided a script for Cytomel! My life changed, for those few months, until I had to return home! there is none provided, where I live. My body is so weak. I can barely get up, now and, I would not talk about the weight gain.

.) ;-) The only thing that changed with dosage is that I began taking a full 25 mcg tablet of Cytomel because I was having problems cutting them up evenly. To my surprise, although FT4 remained the same, my FT3 actually went down a little. My TSH is now cited as <0.01.

I've been on Cytomel for many years and have been able to source it with help from this wonderful group. To recap, I had been on Cytomel but had to change doctors for insurance reasons (I'm in the US). My new doctor wouldn't prescribe T3 even with labs that showed I only minimally converted T4.

Has anyone experienced nagging cough and throat irritation after switching from Armour thyroid? I have had a slight cough even at night since the past week. I have hashimoto thyroid

Doc is rxing cytomel for low total 3 but has said nothing about levo. I can have some pretty wonky thyroid labs. I was under the impression that cytomel is used when there is a conversion problem not to increase total 3. I’ve read that total t3 can be low if one has been ill for a period of time.
