HI there! Terry from denver here -- Has anyone had any experience with the supplement NAC? N-Acetyl Cysteine 500 mg
I've been taking it for about a month now and I seem to be hacking up gunk more - which I think is good because I'm getting it out of my body. I have stage 2 copd with emphysema.

The Importance of Magnesium for endo.
I have been looking into glutathione and another one of its cofactors, N Acetyl
Cysteine
(NAC). Supplementing with NAC may also be beneficial. "2. Fatigue. Magnesium-deficient patients commonly experience fatigue because dozens of enzyme systems are underfunctioning.

Saundrella posted here on Sunday 16th, about the liver protecting properties of NAC or N-Acetyl Cysteine. Does anyone know if it helps PBC?
It's an interesting piece, and my Physio actually mentioned this 'amino-acid' treatment to me the other day (he has other liver issues). However no one has commented back to Saudrella's post so far to say if they KNOW it helps with PBC. As it's the cells of the bile duct that experts think are specifically

A new piece of research into how endo responds to N-Acetyl Cysteine...which you can buy in Holland & Barrett!!
I assumed that N-Acetyl
Cysteine
was some inaccessible untested drug but I was mistaken. You can buy it in Holland & Barrett, Amazon etc.!!!

MTHFR Gene Mutation possibly linked with Endo
In particular, methyl folate (an active form of folate) and Methyl B12 and N Acetyl
cysteine
(which is name checked on another thread I started). However, I don't think getting dosage correct is straightforward and I still need to understand this.

Ibrutinib Dosing
With less than that, we may not be saturating the
cysteine
-481 site and that may encourage resistance. That is why it is usually a bad idea to start at a low dose and titrate up with drugs like ibrutinib. There is a fuller discussion on my blog with references. Stay strong Brian

The antidote for acetaminophen poisoning is N acetyl

Reduce waist from 42" to 34" by following the Alkaline Diet also known as The PH Miracle Diet by Dr Robert O. Young (it worked for me!)

Accidental find shows Vitamin C kills tuberculosis
The team then replaced the
cysteine
in the experiment with another reducing agent -- Vitamin C. It, too, killed the bacteria.
